Holger's confidence has to be at a high level.. The only thing that's preventing him from winning at a higher percentage is his shot selections..He will learn if he wants to be the KING..good match by Sinner and good luck to him

I also think he needs a good conditioning trainer, he has good fire in his belly, doesnt take a backward step,he needs to heal those niggling injuries in the off season

Big mistake Sinner for not tanking in order to eliminate Djokovic. You had the title in your hands but now it will be Djokovic def. Sinner 6-4, 6-2 in the final. Congratulations Sinner, you are so smart. Not!:negative:

As tennis fans we are blessed to have Alcaraz, Rune and Sinner going forward in their careers, great talents, thrilling to watch at times, though the best part is they all bring something different to our game

No doubt he will, I will be interested to see if he keeps Becker on for next year, they really didnt have a lot of time together in the few tournaments this year

Here are the scenarios for SF:

If Alcaraz beats Medvedev in two sets, then it will be Sinner/Medvedev and Djokovic/Alcaraz in the SF

If Alcaraz beats Medvedev in three sets, then it will be Sinner/Alcaraz and Djokovic/Medvedev in the SF

If Medvedev beats Alcaraz AND Zverev beats Rublev then it will be Sinner/Zverev and Djokovic/Medvedev in SF

To avoid playing Djokovic again. Odds can't be great for him beating Novak twice in a row.
Hello friends. It's been a long time between drinks. This exact same thing happened in the WTA a few years ago. Simona whipped Serena in straights in the RR. She needed to win the first set of her 3rd RR match against Ivanovic. Ana couldn't move forward and was just playing for $$. Instead Simona lost the first set in TB and then proceeded to stay out there and eventually lose in three sets. It allowed Serena to go second in the group. They would meet in the final and Serena returned the favor by dropping a bagel on Simo. When you have the opportunity to eliminate the top seed, you need to take it. There is something called losing gracefully.

If he wins the tournament, Jannik will receive 2,600,000 over and above what he would have won if he tanked to Rune. That’s too much money to not try.
Actually, the argument there is that he should have tanked. If he didn't trust his own game. If he didn't have his own integrity. The real bonus, if he and Novak should meet in the final, is that he could beat him twice in a week. Why not trust yourself?

And conditioning/stamina
He didn't lose today on conditioning and stamina. Did he? He should work on those, which I am very much beginning to think have to do with expending too much emotional energy. But I don't think he lost for that reason today.

??? That was Nadalfan’s argument… that Sinner was stupid not to tank. The real bonus for you is to see him beat Novak twice. That will feel good for him, but it will pale in the light of his take home pay!

Oh please it is not about the bloody money, Sinner has too much integrity for such rubbish, he has a chance to defeat Novak twice in this tournament, let see if he can achieve that.I can assure everyone Darren Cahill would not put up with a player he coaches 'tanking' he had a argument with Halep once because she wasnt giving 100% they broke up for a short time, after her dummy spit and got back together
