It will be an uphill battle for Ruud, but he has to give it everything and get over that hump of losing big event finals. Taking out Novak and winning his biggest title to date would certainly help the conversation for 2023.

With the way Novak's been a little shakey of late gives me pause! Anything can happen! Expectations says he's a fave, but after dealing w/ Medvedev, he's lucky to still be in the tournament! The competition is fierce even without Nadal! Ruud's made 2 major finals, but so far, he's still only king of 250's! If Novak can keep it together one more day he'll be poised to retake #1 very easily w/ ATP's within a 1000 of the top! It used to take months, but the parity has finally arrived where the wealth is being spread! I think it's great that more players have shared major events! The eyes cross seeing every conceivable record has Fedalovic all over it! :face-with-hand-over-mouth::fearful-face::face-with-tears-of-joy:

I don't expect that he'll be saving anything for his exhibitions with Nadal. In Ruud's favor, he likes the long points and has great rally-tolerance. Novak has been looking a bit shaky, as in not feeling so well? I'd say Ruud has to try to make Novak run a lot. Novak, on his side, will probably try to make short work of Casper.

This year he has diarrhea of the mouth. He really should just shut up and fix his head. I'm from the "show me" state. I'd rather see actions than a bunch of fluff that's masking a larger issue.

Don't believe all that hype. You better than anyone knows he is the master at playing possum. He can be about to keel over and still find a way to win. Not to mention, how he plays the other rounds has nothing to do w/ the level he brings in a final. It takes someone who is strong in their conviction and belief to ignore Djoke's idiosyncracies and play to win. The ghost is still half baked. Not gritty enough to punch his opponent in the mouth (figuratively and literally). It's why his record is poor against the top 3 ranked players.

Don,
As requested I have got my rosary beads for the doubles final, lets see if the Croatian team can get their revenge from last years semi final here at the end of year championships

On serve thus far, the Croatian team serving at 2-3 in the 1st.

@don_fabio - what’s the Croatian equivalent of “Vamos!” or “Allez!”?

Casper has as of yet to feel sad or angry about finishing number 2 to players and until that changes he is going to stay where he is. I was actually surprised he made it this far given his form this fall. I think he needs to understand you can still be a respectful gentleman and want to destroy your opponent. I really want to see something different and an I’m in it for the long haul from him today.

Exactly. It’s what Nadal and Federer have been doing for decades.

I honestly thought you were making a joke. What in the world was he thinking? Bad to worse.

The Youbg Greek is always on Twitte or Instagram, saying the most 'insane' things, I am not surprised with his latest comment quite frankly

He needs a psychologist STAT! And I’m not saying that to be mean. He genuinely needs help. His parents have turned him into an arrogant monster.
Jim Courier thinks his family needs to go into 'therapy' he wasnt joking either
