Fed still holds a secondary record; 6 YEC Championships under his name! "Congrats Roger!" :face-with-hand-over-mouth::good::yawningface::lol6::boxing::sick:
I wonder if Roger has been watching the finals? the old boy still has a record to hold onto :)

This match has been the best of the finals,I hope we get a competitive final between Sasha and Meddy
I need to make a late breakfast...later.

Novak did play well, but couldn't pull it out against Sascha (BO3)! Again, "is this the real changing of the guard?" Probably not!:face-with-hand-over-mouth::shushing-face::boxing::laugh:

As to tomorrow, H2H is 6-5 Medvedev, and he's won the previous 5 meetings. As I mentioned above, I think Zverev must be pissed that Medvedev has rather usurped the spot he might have thought was his. And AZ has had a very good year. 2nd big win over Novak. And the Bear has the pressure of defending. Could be a fantastic grudge match.

Congrats to Alex. Well deserved win.
He has a very good year so far, but significantly behind the other two. Not even one slam final.
IMO it’s Daniils F to lose. More rested and less to proof. It would surprise me if Alex takes it.

It happened 4 times this year, where the 3 met in SF and F at important tournaments. The guy who just have to play one of them won the F. Only one exception: At the AO Novak beat both.
The draw became so important if not crucial since the 3 play on nearly the same level constantly.

Hope today's match will be good as yesterday's They played high quality indoor tennis and it was pleasure to watch. I have a hunch that Zverev will win this one, but they play at very close level at the moment and match could go either way.

BTW, Mahut/Herbert won the doubles title, their 2nd, (also won 2019.) Nico signed the lens "Where is Peng Shuai?"

It only took about 2 decades to get 2 wins of the YEC outside the Big 3! It's made more ridiculous since Nadal never got much of a sniff in winning!

To me, you didn't miss much. I thought it would be more of a battle, but DM not inspired today. Great AZ today, though...and he beat #1 and #2 to win the title. Well-deserved

Congrats to Saša, didn’t see this coming. Espacially in straights. But we’ll deserved.
These are the 3 to beat next year on HC. With some distance Nadal and maybe Thiem.
I don’t see Rafa as a serious threat in Melbourne, because of his long break and the surface. He will put everything into the clay season, if he is smart.
