No, as the efficiency does not matter. In the direct match between them Thiem won and so, Thiem is #1 and Fed is #2.
I would expect Rafa to come out inspired against Tsitsipus..especially since he hasn’t been respectful to Rafa’s past victories over him. Rafa needs to pretend he playing against wacky Nicky.

I would not be surprised if Ralph takes off for honeymoon and plays with Xisca's tits while letting RBA play with Tits tomorrow.

but it doesn't matter, because he would surely have lost the final to Rafa
are you saying it as a fact for a match that never happened? A beat B, B beat C, so A surely beat C, any tennis fan with a brain knows it doesn't work like that. And if you say what Rafa did to Novak in the final was sublime, yes it was but against someone with totally different game he surely would've had to play different game against Fed. Lastly, as far as I know Federer is capable of lifting his game on any given day.....nobody would 'surely' beat him on a fast hardcourt, ever.

Another idiot post from a desparate fan trying to make up stuff that couldn't be proven or speculated with any reasonable evidence.

I said yesterday that if he could, Rafa would jettison this tourney if he didn't need to finish! Nole & Fed did him a huge "solid!"

Well, clearly winning the tournament is better than year end number 1 being handed to you through the results of others. If he has any self respect as he always says he'll try and win his next match. "I gonna try my best". But of course it's not all in his hands now either.

So how did I miss Front is now Nostradamus and GameSetandMatch became a wedding planner?
I'm not sure it's great predicting when you say what you hope will happen and then it comes true. ;)

Nah, I just said that to piss Cali off (and you, apparently, though that was a bonus)...still, odds are good he'd have won that match. Rafa was serving great and was still way in Roger's head.

I think having the #1 will put a spring in his step and light a fire under him, too. I don't know about the other thing.

I'm not like Nadal fans blindly and stupidly claiming he'll win everything. I used to bet a lot and have a good idea of when Federer is going to lose and when he's likely to beat Djokovic or Nadal and just other matches in general. I haven't bet in years but I've got a lot of big matches right the last few years.

If you say so. He won 1 (yes one) match here so far. If he doesn't win a single other match then what I said is completely 100% true. Him being number 1 was not down to him but Djokovic and Federer.

Djokovic/Federer skipping Montreal and then getting injured at USO cinched it for him

I’m curious if Nadal will withdraw. What motivation could he have to play now on this surface that he doesn’t like? His chance of winning the trophy isn’t good. He may want to save himself for AO.

Looks like Djoke’s arm is injured again. Maybe he’ll have surgery over winter break??

It is amazing to note that Fed made only 5 UFE in the whole match today (only one in the first set). We would probably have to go back more than 10 years to find such a clean win by Fed.

It ain't no Djoke if your arm is broke, yo.

Based on what though in all seriousness? He brushed Berretini away like nothing. Anyway, bedtime here.

Had no idea the stats were that good. Impressive. He served really well.
