I agree and that's where the tie-breakers would come into play. In order to prevent same picks leading to draws time and time again, we would pick the score. In case both made the right pick, whoever is closer to the exact score, either in points differential or total score, takes the game. That way we would have a straight forward playoff format with winners advancing to the next rounds all the way to the SB. But for now I'd say let's concentrate on the regular season first and foremost and then in January after the festive periods let's see whether or not there are enough participants and interest for a playoff format.

I learned something about NFL today:

1. Aaron Rodgers is dating Olivia Munn (congratulations DF)
2. Chris (is it Chris?) Ponder is married to a lady from College Football reporters' team and they have a baby girl that travels with her mom all the time.

Will it help me with my pics, I wonder.

OMG I just switched to CBS and the weather is awful in Green Bay, rain and fog. Gee hopefully it is not going to be like that in Chicago and Madison next week.:nono

No need to congratulate me Billie, I'd congratulate him but dating a gorgeous celebrity worries me a bit about his focus (if it becomes more serious). Rodgers looks good so far this year, people were badly overreacting to a rough game vs. Seattle on the road (expected) and then just a bad day at the office vs. Detroit.

Going to Madtown and Chicago next week? That sounds like a great trip! Fun places.

Come on Darth, let the man be happy. I actually didn't recognize Olivia's name but her face as we watched past seasons of "Newsroom" and thought her role was so funny. They look cute together.;)

Yeah, we are taking the trip next week, hopefully it won't snow.:snigger

I might have to make my picks for next week on Sunday, I should be able to find the matchups on nfl.com?

As long as he keeps up that 12:1 TD-Int ratio I won't be upset with Olivia! No pressure there. In all seriousness I don't think it will be a big issue for him but we know from tennis and even football that some of these high-profile relationships can hurt an athlete's performance.

I sure as hell hope it won't be snowing either. It's down to about 40 degrees here at night so it could happen soon.

I go to ESPN to check out my NFL. They love the dramatic articles on there too.

Yeah some good football today.

I'm half PO'ed and half happy that I missed out on a slam dunk parlay today. Bet $200 on Chicago covering (3 point underdogs) and Detroit and Philly winning straight up (would've won $460 so $660 back total). At one point Chicago was up 21-7 and attempting a 35 yard field goal all while Detroit and Philly were both up 14-0. The good news is the clownish losses from Chicago and Detroit helps GB.

Good job everybody, I think I did better than the last time. I can't believe Bills scored a winning field goal in the last seconds. But I shouldn't be greedy, Pats and Seahawks win and I will be a happy camper.:D

Now I don't have time for all picks, but I will take Colts over Texans on Thursday, I should be back before Sunday.

Bears @ Panthers - Bears Darth will most likely pick the home team.. I am on the fence with this one
Texans @ Cowboys - Texans time for Jerry boys's to fall back to Earth
Steelers @ Jaguars - Steelers
Buccaneers @ Saints - Saints
Falcons @ Giants - Giants
Rams @ Eagles - Eagles
Cardinals @ Broncos - Broncos
Chiefs @ 49ers -Niners
Jets @ Chargers - Chargers
Bengals @ Patriots - Patriots The Pats are not this bad but they are not a very good team.,, Bill B will have them up for this one at home.. otherwise I would pick the Bengals
Seahawks @ Redskins - Seahawks

Vikings @ Packers - Packers, we will see how Bridgewater does on the road but it is against another shaky defense. If Bridge plays well this could be close but no way should GB lose at home to Minny.

Bills @ Lions - Lions
Ravens @ Colts - Colts
Browns @ Titans - Titans
Bears @ Panthers - I'm picking Chicago too AP. The Panthers have come back down to Earth, even Chicago's weak defense will keep from getting lit up against that offense. Carolina D misses Hardy badly!

Texans @ Cowboys - Cowboys, but this is one of the toughest to pick
Steelers @ Jaguars - Steelers
Buccaneers @ Saints - Saints
Falcons @ Giants - Giants
Rams @ Eagles - Eagles
Cardinals @ Broncos - Broncos
Chiefs @ 49ers -Niners
Jets @ Chargers - Chargers
Bengals @ Patriots - I'm going with Cincy. I've been waiting for the end of the Pats a long time and maybe, just maybe, this is the year.
Seahawks @ Redskins - Seahawks

And this is why I should've gone with my gut. New England just always bounces back. I don't like it but got to respect it.

Went against my better judgment with the Ravens as I like Flacco and (John) Harbaugh. And I picked the Texans because of coach O"Brien. He's a good man.

Yes, I saw that and my response was something like - :puzzled  :s :nono

I also was going to pick the Niners over the Eagles last week, but in the end went with the home team.

It's becoming harder and harder to find a place where everyone isn't laughing about the Raiders. :cry

Sorry Darth - I missed this weekend. I'll join in the next one.

No problem BB, it is a competitive year both in the NFL and the pick'em league. It's hard to believe there are no more undefeated teams after only week 5.

It was early in the season, the Raiders have a home fan base like there is no other and I thought having an east coast team like the Fins going to the that place on the west coast, it had all the makings of a trap game but the Raiders are just a disaster of an organization.. Ole Al is turning and rollin over in his grave about how pathetic they are...I wont choose them ever again unless they play the Jets:snigger

Yeah I know they looked really really bad vs. KC, but the Pats and Brady have started the year bad the last few seasons and then turn it around with what seems to be just smoke and mirrors. The Belichick effect. 10+ wins in 11 straight seasons and I'm not yet willing to bet against a 12th.
