^ Saints miss Sproles badly. With Brees throwing 260 passes a game it was huge to be able to dump it down to the speed demon when Graham or Colston aren't open.

Brees is still very good and I think he will turn it around but it has to be soon... Totally agree about the Cowboys, we've seen this show before, in fact we've seen it pretty much 10 years in a row almost.
Arod look pretty excellent vs da Bears . Jay Cutler helped to get Lovie fired and Tressman will soon to follow. Jay really got a mental block vs the Pack. It's astonishing how poorly he plays and really exposed to ne just a mediocre qb

Rodgers played with a chip on his shoulder. Worst thing that happened to the Bears is that Rodgers and the Packers had a really bad game vs. Detroit the week before and fans here naturally panicked.

I wasn't and am not worried about Rodgers, the start to his season 2 years ago (when GB was 2-3) was actually a lot worse and gave cause for concern. But GB's run defense is just really really bad and if they don't fix that they won't be going far.

In GB and Chicago matchups it has often come down to A Rod vs. Cutler...I LOVE those odds. Interestingly yesterday was not one of those times as the Bears ran all over GB in the first half and should've run it all game long instead of airing it out.

QB play is huge in the NFL. Last year was a prime example for GB. Almost every team will suffer when their backup is in but it was really a disaster for the Packers. I think GB raveled off about 10 or 11 straight wins over Chicago from 93-99 when Favre was at his best. After that good old Brett was too erratic and the Bears played them about even.

I don't see any end in sight to their suffering vs. Rodgers unless he gets some serious injuries. Rodgers is like Favre without the gunslinging mentality that leads to tons of interceptions. Of course he isn't as tough or durable as Bretty Boy but no qb is.

AP is right. Bears aren't beating Pack no matter where they play. I had to school some die hard Bears cult at Firestone yesterday. They wanted to turn the channel for the start of the game and I said why would you want to watch that slaughter? Of course because I'm a girl, they assume I know nothing and should just shut up.

Bears are never going anywhere w/ outlaw Jay at the helm. :nono Silly fans, believing all that Halas Hall hype. :lolz:

They beat the Pack last year...when they injured Rodgers on the first drive. That was one of the toughest games/moments I've watched in sports seeing him head back to the locker room and knowing the Pack goes from contenders to scrubs with him out.

I told my poor Bear fan buddies that I was ecstatic at the Cutler signing. He is good enough to lead them to many 8-8 and 9-7 years with medium draft picks but he is not good enough to lead them to a Super Bowl (though Flacco and Dilfer have won one so I really shouldn't completely dismiss the possibility). And they paid him too much mostly due to their past history as they haven't had a good qb since George Washington was in office.

Wow nehmeth, well done:clap

Pleased that I got 6 for the first time picking. I have to laugh at myself as at first I had Packers, Vikings, Cowboys and Eagles and then I decided to "think" about it and change around looking for an upset. I better just leave thinking alone.:lolz:

Go Chiefs!!!!!

These prime time games aside from Indy-Philly have all been awful so far this year. Good to see Charles back and good to see the Pats get blown out but I'd like to see a decent game.

Best part...I had Charles in 2 money FF leagues and needed more than 15 points to win them and he busted that easy. Time for my other star McCoy to get going, right Nehmeth?

Damn.. I knew i was going to have a horrible week but 6 picks is pathetic... I might as well go back over to the other threads and argue with BS about Rafa adding more coaches to his team with Toni:laydownlaughing

Steelers @ Jaguars - Steelers
Buccaneers @ Saints - Saints
Falcons @ Giants - Giants
Rams @ Eagles - Eagles
Cardinals @ Broncos - Broncos

Vikings @ Packers - Packers, we will see how Bridgewater does on the road but it is against another shaky defense. If Bridge plays well this could be close but no way should GB lose at home to Minny.

Bills @ Lions - Lions
Ravens @ Colts - Colts
Browns @ Titans - Titans
Bears @ Panthers - I'm picking Chicago too AP. The Panthers have come back down to Earth, even Chicago's weak defense will keep from getting lit up against that offense. Carolina D misses Hardy badly!

Texans @ Cowboys - Cowboys, but this is one of the toughest to pick
Steelers @ Jaguars - Steelers
Buccaneers @ Saints - Saints
Falcons @ Giants - Giants
Rams @ Eagles - Eagles
Cardinals @ Broncos - Broncos
Chiefs @ 49ers -Niners
Jets @ Chargers - Chargers
Bengals @ Patriots - I'm going with Cincy. I've been waiting for the end of the Pats a long time and maybe, just maybe, this is the year.
Seahawks @ Redskins - Seahawks

Could be 9-4 after this, but I'm picking the Pats to win. Andy the Walrus Reid's team playing at home may take it.

:s

Had a feeling Pats might lose, but 41-14 was quite the shellacking last night...

Thanks for the efforts, Darth! Seeing as Britbox just opened a thread about the Raiders, would be nice if he had time to dip into our game occasionally to make us seven. We could let him start at .500 with a 31-30 record since 61 games have been played so far. Can you send him a mail? Now if we were to find an 8th participant we could even arrange a playoff format with the regular season winner being awarded the 1st seed meeting the 8th seed with the lowest record etc. all the way to the tennisfrontier SuperBowl. The wild card round and divisional playoffs would serve as our quarterfinals with the Conference Championships as our semis with tie-breakers involved such as picking the score.

I will let him know. I'm not sure about making it a postseason thing but then again fantasy football is set up that way. I propose we vote on it and I will tally it up:

A. We keep it as is and just play by total record at the end of the 17 weeks

B. We make a playoff starting in week 14 between individuals (if we get an even amount of people) If we get an odd amount of teams (such as current 7) then maybe top 2 people get a bye after week 13 and the worst team is eliminated?

C. Insert other idea here :)

I will vote to keep it as is (option A).

I would take option C, here's my proposal which is a combination of A and B. We keep the format as it currently is with the goal to crown a champion after week 17 who will remain the 2014 tennisfrontier's NFL champion and succeed Kate 2012 and Darth 2013 because coming out on top over 17 weeks is a far more telling sample size and indicator as to who's been the best overall rather than a handful of matches in the playoffs where unexpected freak results can easily occur.

So we close the chapter on the season after week 17 not taking the coutcome of the postseason into account and then, in case we have the right amount of people participating (8 for a quarterfinal format), we go on and expand this game to the playoffs with the best records being awarded the best seeds. If there will be less than 8 participants, we will award some bye weeks.

That way we ensure to have a consensus champion for the 2014 season and at the same time having a bit of fun with matchups during the playoffs crowning a bonus playoff champ all the way to the superbowl. Would be helluva fun to see Darth vs. AP, kate vs. Britbox, Billie vs. Nemeth and me vs. mister x during the postseason. It's always fun when it gets personal. :snigger

Not a bad idea Didi, but there is a big problem if we are doing head to head matchups in the playoffs, that being there is only 4 games the first 2 weeks, then 2 games the 3rd week and then the Super Bowl. I think you'd have too many people with the exact same picks. Or certainly there is a decent possibility of that happening.
