Every GM in the league should hate Flacco and Baltimore. After Flacco played a great 4 games to help Baltimore win the SB they were forced to shell out huge $$ to what is a barely above average QB. After that you have comparable players like Cutler and Romo getting a big pay day.
Rodgers has been amazing but that is expected. I could tell people were reading too much into his play earlier. After 3 games he was a bit off but still had 5 TD's, 1 interception and an average YPA. Now after firing him up it is a ridiculous 18/1 with the completion % and YPA quickly rising. The only real poor start to a year he had was 2012. He was noticeably struggling through 5 games with GB at 2-3 and there were reports around here during that preseason that he didn't seem to be what he usually is. That was the only time I've been worried about his play.
I have to admit that Peyton, like many aging sporting legends, has really grown on me the past few years. He has always been a great player but to do what he's done after being sidelined a full year with all the neck surgeries is beyond words. And the guy is pretty darn classy as well, he was a bit of a whiner in his younger years but I think he has outgrown that. It is incredible how well he is playing.
And Denver is looking like SB favorites already (this time to win) but it's early. For GB they have a chance to make it a great 1st half of the season if they win in New Orleans. Coming into the year I'd be thrilled with 6-2 given their schedule. 5-3 was the expectation so we will see if they exceed it. If the NFC ended today I'd still be looking good with my pick of GB making the Super Bowl. I think it is still the 49ers and Hawks that they really have to worry about.
