So many withdrawals. dull is falling apart. I think he should retire or play only clay season.
He seems not to feel that way. Though I know you wish he would. These great players are aging. So are their bodies. But they're still pulling off great achievements. I don't think they'll bow out until they're forced.

You're endlessly sure that that's true. Funny how that sounds more like your opinion than his. Isn't that the way with fans?

One to enjoy for Rafa fans in the off-season. Though, the Djokovic SF at Wimbledon still makes me cringe at that loss.

For me, Wimbledon '18. Nadal had that match dead to rights, even though the roof being closed was a hinderance. Surely would have won the title v. Anderson. AO '17 is close, but losing to Roger isn't as painful as letting Djokovic back into Rafa's head. That's my take.

Both matches are no big deal as they mainly allowed both Federer & Djokovic to get back some dignity. In slam meetings against Rafa, Federer would have been 2-10 instead of 3-9 and Djokovic would have been 4-10 instead of 5-9. Still bad records for them but let's just say that it's a little less embarrassing, they are the ones who had something to prove. For Rafa it doesn't change much as he still owns both in slams.

Nads had owned him at the French. Novak has owned his soul everywhere else for 8 years. One of the reasons Nadal only appears to be a sniper off clay, can't even defend Mickey Mouse tourneys off of it.

Defending tournaments isn't as important as reclaiming them. Oh, and how many times has Rafa beaten Djokovic at the USO?

It's 1-1 there the last 8 years. I'd say Rafa did well to tap out before the final this year. Would've been a nice bloodbath.

He also let fakervic back in the fray.

And it's 2-1 there the last 9 years, which is the h2h there. You don't get to reframe the question to give an answer you like better.

Well I did say he's owned Ralphy's soul everywhere the last 8 years aside from clay. I guess you can say USO and Toronto in 2013 but do you really want to take a look at Nadal's record against him on grass, outdoor hards and indoor hards the past 8 years when Djoker became great? It ain't pretty. I think Nadal only has an extra win or 2 on clay in that span too.

Well I did say he's owned Ralphy's soul just about everywhere the last 8 years aside from clay.
Well, then that only includes the USO if you consider being 1-1 in finals as "owning his soul." Face it, you like to date all things in their h2h as if nothing existed before 2011. Which is cherry-picking.

Nadal has owned Rogery´soul for years in grass, HC and clay and when this one was playing his best and in his best age and he will continue do it, 2017? a good consolation for his fans, that's all

One win on grass when Roger couldn't beat a fly doesn't constitute owning honey. I'd also say the only real ownership on HC came when Roger was in his 30's, 5 easy wins in 2013 and early 2014 when Roger was barely a top 10 player. Him turning it around at a geriatric age a bit just shows how pathetic he was in underachieving against Nadal for so many years
