I could hardly watch before, the way Rafa was playing, and now it's hard to watch Kei in so much pain.

I think the nature of matches like this is that now Rafa should settle and win it, but yeah, it would be nice if Kei was fully fit.

Yep, that's exactly what happens when the opponent is physically spent. You remember this year's AO final, no? ;)

Even so, anything can happen now...

I wouldn't say anything. I think it's pretty clear.

It seems to be, it's a pity, as much for the fans who paid in, as Kei...

Kieran, you missed a lot. This was Kei's match. He was up 6-2, 3-1, then got injured - or re-injured. Rafa's been rolling over him since. Kei doesn't have a chance - I expect him to forfeit after he's broken once or maybe twice.

Man, I hope it doesn't come down to that. After the last two tournaments, I wouldn't want Kei's run to end in a retirement.

This crowd is disgraceful. Booing and whistling an injured player that keeps playing?

he's shaking his head, but he's not moving toward the umpire

It's weird watching this. Rafa didn't earn this win at all and he knows it. But he's being very gracious and showing a lot of class.

That's it. Not worth celebrating. :nono

Pity for Kei, and Rafa obviously still has plenty of room for improvement...

ok. now it's over. Feel so bad for Kei. Get a cortizone shot before RG starts.

On the phone here but what a load of crap. Really sucks that Nishikori is so fragile.

Well, you called it, Dude. Bad day. Let's just hope Kei can recuperate for RG.

I´d already written him off for that one. Even before this match.
