Jokes apart, it was a tactical suicide match by Federer. He knew that he won't be winning with his 2005-07 approach, and so decided to volley as much as possible, and he was big toast. I remember his coach Higueras turning up in the court for Nadal's QF match against Almagro. Higueras promptly took the notes as much as Nadal allowed to note, the score was bread-stick in each of the sets. Higueras helped in getting one more game than the match he turned up to watch
