If only to get off the baldness issue: your article makes a lot of good points. Perhaps we could debate them...for the 90,000th time. :snicker He does make some valid points about Nadal's greatness, since folks seem to have forgotten. #shortmemories

While I have one foot in the "Fed is GOAT" door, I'm always open to other thoughts and theories. And Nadal will always have a say in the GOAT talk. Unless Federer comes up with a couple more slams somewhere. ;)

Disappointed no doubt as Roger is but I'm pretty sure she's proud of him too for getting to another final at nearly 34, comprehensively beating Murray en route. And the same goes for his fans, disappointed he didn't win but a mighty feat reaching another final and defending all his points. Not sure many thought he'd do that.

A helluva lot happier than Uncle Toni after Nadal got bounced by Brown.

Well said. There's for a fan the extra disappointment that comes with the knowledge that this might have been his last chance.....But that's what we thought last year as well, right. When you're as great as Fed there's always the possibility that there will be another "last chance" at some point. And even if there wouldn't be, he's already achieved so much that he's the mount Everest of the game. He's now just competing for the bonus points - a few extra metres to add to his Everest.

And Mirka is royalty. :basiate

I'm a firm believer that Federer would not have been as successful or would have lasted as long as he has without Mirka supporting him. What a pair.
