Now Jannik has a problem with his right hip and said to his coach 'it hurts what will I do"
Jannik holds his service game with a great stab volley at the net, down a break in the 2nd set
Kotov will serve for the 2nd set 5-4
Jannik gets BPs for the first time in the 2nd set and breaks with a great cross court bh
Back on serve 5 all 2nd set, Jannik needs to cut out his UFE, which are mounting in this 2nd set
Kotov will serve to force a TB 5-6 in the 2nd set
Kotov making too many errors in his serve game, Jannik with 3 SPs
Well done to Kotov saving SPs deuce great fhands from Kotov

On his 4th MP Sinner d Kotov 62 75, Kotov was nervous trying to serve out the 2nd set,
Sinner will play either Cobolli or KK in his next match, the hip seemed okay, though it did kind of complicates things in the 2nd set
Jannik said after the match he experienced in his hip in the 2nd set was not a new injury, it was related to some extra work at the gym last week,

MM @MargaretMcAleer well why you don't have any patience ? If Rafa was wounded in battle and he was your love interest, you would expect him to be Don Juan when he could only be able to snuggle with you..Women SMH2 jajaja :)
I wasnt born with patience full stop! and I dont suffer fools gladly either, apart from that I am pretty much perfect:)

I hope that was a 'fresh shirt' Rafa gave him, not the sweaty one he was wearing :)
As long as it's signed..I think is all that matters... Rafa is vaccinated...if it was Novak sign the plastic bag it's wrapped in would be sufficient for me ..

It's really refreshing to see Merri (Mrs Nadal) sitting so close court side to Rafa. I'm happy for da dude to have his family started before he ends his career. What a blessing

I have to say this about Sinner: he’s almost like a version of Zverev if ( HUGE if) Zverev had mental strength. Zverev, like Sinner , has a very sound technical game, very good groundies & serve. Nothing to fault the mechanics about. But Zverev never developed a champion’s inner belief.

However Sinner has learned from his early heat-breaking losses, so its one of those intangibles that its hard to predict who will crash through the glass ceiling of perennial bridesmaid.

The two crown princes ( Zverev & Tsitsipas) thought the status quo would continue until their time would come, but (so far) Alcaraz & Sinner have declared that it’s already over.

I will play devil's advocate here: While Zverev and Tsitsipas are mental midgets, both of them also have technical flaws in their game. Zverev's FH and Tsitsipas' BH get exposed or break down when the match gets tighter (especially during Slams).

At least with Sinner, he did improve his serve technique. Once in a while, his FH sprays errors but that's more mental than technical unlike Zverev and Tsitsipas.
