Meanwhile Struff played a solid TB and with an Ace wins the 2nd set 76(5) coming back from 1-3 down, a few costly errors from Charly in the TB
Going 3 in the match Alcaraz - Struff

I will play devil's advocate here: While Zverev and Tsitsipas are mental midgets, both of them also have technical flaws in their game. Zverev's FH and Tsitsipas' BH get exposed or break down when the match gets tighter (especially during Slams).

At least with Sinner, he did improve his serve technique. Once in a while, his FH sprays errors but that's more mental than technical unlike Zverev and Tsitsipas.
True. And you can attribute technical deficiencies to coaching or a lack of good coaching. A proper coach would have fixed Tits FH & return by now, but as we all know, Daddy won't get out of the way. Zed also needs a proper coach that could take his game to next level. While he has a lot of physical abilities, he doesn't have the heart of a champion. His game needs a mental boost to the next level. You never get the impression when he walks on court at a slam that he's the fave to win the whole thing.

Charlie w/ some slop in that 2nd set. Got away from constructing points and dropped his serve. Cannot let a big server back in the match. Maybe losing that TB will give him a boost of urgency. Win and get off the court before this dude hits you off the court.

yeah, that's what he did in the 2nd set. He went to the dropshot at least twice per game. You can't go to it that often. For it to be effective, it needs to be a surprise tactic. It doesn't look like he prepped for handling Struffie's net rushes. He had to know from last year, the guy is going to come in. He should have spent some time in practice addressing it.

What's going on w/ Red Bean?
He wasnt reading the serve of KK in the 1st set, rebounded well in the 2nd set, early days in the 3rd set, he appears to be moving okay, after his hip problem yesterday, which was due to gym practice last week

KK is like Struff. The best way to handle these big hitters is to get them moving. Use your athleticism to try and break up their rhythm. Don't try to go toe to toe on every single point.
