Carlos Alcaraz is now 2-0 against the Top 2 Serbians this year. Both of matches were 3-set thrillers on M1000 tournaments. Amazing player, Carlitos!

I’m getting worried about Rafa’s status as being the last SuperTeenager(winning a GS)..Carlos is fierce force of nature.Congratulations on his accomplishments so far.
But didn't Nads win RG when he was 18?

Also, it looks like Djokovic is prime ready to defend his Wimbledon title this year. He served well throughout the match. It will be interesting to see how the other players play Wimbledon this year.

Rafa entered the tournament at age 18 departEd a GS champion at 19..I think he may have already won a MS and defeated Roger at age 17 in their first encounter in Miami on the hard courts. Pure definition of a super teenager..Carlos is in the same zip code

If my memory is correct Rafa at age 19 had more titles than Alcaraz...though I would have to look it up to confirm...ladies final match is just starting

Before the age 20, Nadal had 16 titles including 1 GS title, 5 M1000 titles, and 5 ATP 500 titles.

Thanks...saved me looking it up as I am watching the ladies final
Not a shabby record for a youngster....so Alcaraz has a way to go yet.

This reminds me when Steffi Graff beat Martina N. and Chrissie Evert on back to back matches in Key Biscayne circa 1987 (?) that was such drop mic statement then and this is the same thing now.

Ok NOW the pressure is really on the kid.

I think he can handle it, but he's going to be a co-favorite at Roland Garros along with Rafa and Novak.

He's like sponge, or a BORG, assimilating matchplay experience as he faces new situations. However, Carlos will be expected to win every time he goes on court now so it doesn't necessarily get any easier. I sort of want Zverev to win tonight he's the one top player that Alcaraz hasn't beaten yet, 0-2. Would be interesting to see the Crown Prince play the improved Alcaraz.

Woah, co-favorites with two of the All time greats already?!

I will say he is slightly behind Djokovic. And Nadal is number 1 favorite, of course.

I saw those matches back in '87! Graf came out the gates firing that '87 season after dropping that USO SF to Martina in '86! It was quite windy in Key Biscayne so Graf just powered thru and beat them back to back! Very few had done it; maybe Tracy Austin! :shushing-face: :astonished-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth::partying-face::face-with-tears-of-joy:

I think y'all being a bit premature.. young Pegasus is a serious contender. I'm not making excuses but the young Greek played last year's match with a heavy heart if I recall correctly.
