Geez this is poor play from these guys. Must be the wind.

Very poor alright. Not even watching properly here and doing some hard drive movie collection pruning :p

Conditions are heavy and breezy. Not ideal for high quality tennis. Espexially for the flat shots Kei is hitting.

Novak finally takes his backhand down the line to get after Nishi's forehand. Wins the point.

True. Will never forget that US Open semi with Berdych against Murray. With his huge ball toss he could barely serve and likewise he hits very flat and his game was completely useless with the wind. Not good viewing.

At least he held his serve. There are big bombers who barely win 2 games a set.

The Japanese contingent are looking rather disconsolate. To keep their short blades sheathed and avoid mass seppuku, Nole gives Kei a freebee back to deuce.

Kei's not just going to give it to him it appears! Nole will have to earn it! :dodgy: :p

Nole helped to prolong this thing! It's costing Kei though; sucking wind!:cover :puzzled :nono

That's true. But you have to give credit to the little warrior for bringing the thing even again. Many would have folded by now.

More sweat and work than he would have needed, but he did it in the end.
Let's dethrone Muzz next. He needs a second toilet brush....;)

For some reason, I've never cared for Murray and his lame game from the baseline! He could do so much more to eliminate such hard-fought affairs; esp. in earlier rounds! :nono  :dodgy: :cover

Nadal toying with Sousa. But he isn't playing lights out or anything. Sousa just can't hit through him, and will eventually hit an error. Nadal is just solid.

You were saying? :puzzled :nono :p :lolz: :eyepop - I thought it was over until I turned to see Nadal scratchin' to stay ahead in the 3rd! We'll see what happens together!

Update: Well Rafa survived! Seems a bit vulnerable! If Murray doesn't take this semi tomorrow, he'll never be respected as part of the elite! IMO, he's still on the outside looking in after another abysmal AO final vs Nole!

Catching the repeat of Nadal/Murray now; truly ugly except for the pending result! Andy up a break and still had to win in an extended set 7-5 in the 1st! He obviously went back to retrieving; slicing and dicing! What an idiot! :cover :nono
