We have the effeminate sounding umpire again for Fed v Tsonga.

Roger better not drop another match to JWT on clay. This is suddenly a decent opportunity for Roger here even if he would be the big underdog vs. Nole in the semi.

Well he's certainly trying hard to give Tsonga the break, going down 0-30 with 2 crap errors to start the game. Edit: and Tsonga breaks.

Big enough rankings impact now if Djokovic wins it. Either way the bookies are scratching their heads now with Rafa's odds for RG. Still the favourite obviously but it'll make them adjust the odds.

Sounds as though someone is tempted to put a few Euros aside for RG. :snigger

I won't sugarcoat it, Tsonga is pure trash on clay, hasn't even made 1 final of a clay event I think. This really should be a comfortable match for Roger and any other decent clay courter. It is still early but it can get away quick.

If I do it'll only be match by match. No way I'm ever doing an outright bet there again since the one time I did, Nadal lost!

Tsonga is actually playing really well against Federer. I was hoping he would come out and lay and egg.

He had MPs v. Nole at RG 2 years ago.

And he lost. Same as Murray at Rome 2011 and Roger at Rome 2006. Great play but still losses and a big L is not the same as a big W.

Good Friday? Not so far for both the Nadal and Federer fanbases.

And did he get a cookie for that effort?

I understand that a loss is a loss, but you said "pure trash on clay." That's different.

Not making a single final on clay and generally being an afterthought on the surface...
