Stefanos Tsitsipas has a golden opportunity to reach another ATP Tour Masters 1000 Final with both Djokovic and Zverev being out. He needs to take this opportunity.
I hope not.until he behaves on court,I might reconsider cheering him on.

5:2 Rublev.
He will be eaten alive tomorrow by Rafa.
Nadal can bring back even more than Agut and is much more effective when attacking.
I am impressed how calm Rublev stays over the whole match against a difficult opponent.
He will tomorrow play against his idol.

I had to go out so I taped it, figuring I'd come back to Rafa having won the first, maybe 6-2 and up a break in the 2nd, but nope, it was done and dusted. Rafa said in the post match interview with TC that he thought he played solid, but that Grigor didn't have a great day, that he made a lot more errors than usual. He was very complimentary to Grigor, saying that they usually have tough battles.
I deleted my DVR of the match..Grigor wasn't mentally and physically in this match at any point.

Yeah great to have one of the best players of all time semi retired. Doubt many agree with you on that.

Dan Evans gets the upset, in straights. @JesuslookslikeBorg: so, no, no 7000th meeting of Novak and Rafa.
tennis slapping me about the head again..eek. what a shock.

i was thinking maybe on hc if evans plays megatennis and djoko is flat maybe he might sneak a set, but no way evans on clay where he is almost non existant.

That Evans pulled this off on clay shocked even him, I think. Novak won't be thrilled he lost, but he'll dust off and move on. His eyes are on RG.

Tsitispas v Davidovich Fokina
Evans v Goffin
Fognini v Ruud
Rublev v Nadal (last match on Court Rainier)
Davidovich Fokina is trending, so we'll see how Tsitsipas handles the pressure of being the top seed in his half.
Evans v. Goffin is very interesting. Will Evans have a let-down? On paper, if he can handle Novak, he can handle Goffin.
Fognini v. Ruud - Fognini is 0-2 v Ruud, but he was 0-2 v. Krajinovic, too. You never know with Fognini, and he's defending.
Rublev v. Nadal - Hard to picture Rublev pulling it off.
