Not really, but AO was pretty slow and there is more room for upsets in best-of-threes, so if Grigor comes out strong, he could sneak it by Rafa.

Of course I highly doubt it will happen, but should be interesting.

Grigor is no way near his AO form. Hence, I would say Rafa has easiest QF opponent. Novak has the toughest QF opponent and others are in the middle.

AO was slow? I don't think so.

Rafa has to face Sasha in the third round. It may be a little tough, but I think he will win it.

Andy has a good chance of going down to Tommy Robredo in his opening match.

Zverev won't be a force unless he gets a WOW factor in his game.

Now, Grigor isn't playing that well so i don't expect problems for Rafa. But easier than Cilic on clay? Come on ...

You answered your own question. Cilic would not reach QF and so he is not the one to be compared with. :)

OK, Berdych then. I'm not convinced Berdych would be a tougher QF opponent than Dimitrov. Grigor is more unpredictable, so he could play shockingly, but he also could play extremley well. Berdych hasn't taken a set of Nadal on clay since 2005 ...

As a comic relief from the tension, I will show you a nice pic of Mr. and Mrs. Djokovic that I found. I don't know how old it is. But, what a beautiful pic! :)

Berdych has won 4 matches against Rafa and Grigor just one. Even if you take percentages, Berdych has won 17% of his matches against Rafa compared to 11% by Grigor. Berdych being a Mr. Qf guy, is more likely to be there.

Four of the top 12 missing this tourney: RF, Milos, Kei and Nick. Also, 10 of top 25 missing. While the first number is not unusual, the second number seems unusual to me. Usually, the second tier players don't want to miss this one due to large number of points even though it is non-mandatory.

Nick is not top 12

This only makes sense if players are static throughout their careers. Berdych has declined somewhat over the last year or so, while Grigor has risen. At this point, they're probably somewhat similar.

Looking at the draw, I would go for a Man vs Rafa final, with Rafa winning in straights.
I am also very interested in Mr Deepak's run here. If he reaches the quarters, Domi should show him the way out I believe. Thiem played like a maniac for most of their match at the WTF and still grabbed a set. If he can peak for this showdown, Mr Deepak in his current form has no chance, unless he peaks as well.

But he has won none on clay, and isn't the late he was.

To say that Grigor is far easier as an opponent than Berdych seems to be a stretch to me.
