You should actually cheer for Nole to win because this may be the best chance for Rafa to level their h2h.
Well yea it would be Nadal best Chance, against djokovic but he's going to destroy the winner anyways.

It was really a mixed bag of that what you described and some really good play in the first set and I imagine that continued for the rest of the match.

I believe you. But we saw flashes of really good play in IW and Miami too. In the Taro Daniel match, there were some fantastic shots and points. Problem that he was simply not able to sustain that level, it was so sharp a difference that you could see the relief on Daniel's face. Maybe the difference (I am guessing as I did not see either match in full, but a larger patch of the IW match) is that now he found a way to deal with his mid match dip in form. In the Daniel's match he started missing his shots and never changed the approach, just lost the intensity. Now he is refusing to go down that easily -- which is a step in the right direction.

Novak says he made changes to his racket. Or changed the racket all together? I did not see details. Anyone with more info, please share :)
He says that he has done some adjustments in his racket which can help his forehand and serve

It's less weight in his racket to prevent the injuries reoccurring.

He was able to play well for only several games in each match in America. Here, he played well for most of two matches against the opponents better than those in iw/miami. So he has definitely improved a lot . He may play well enough to beat Thiem.

It is much easier to understand the world around if you assume it is all about you... so it must be!
Not really. You must stop blaming yourself for everything. Though I've got some need to talk so I should take my own advice.

Are you trying to say you jinxed him?

Yep

What about when I see on the scores that a player I like is winning his match, then I turn the TV or the stream and the guy starts losing? It must be my fault...

haven't been watching much tennis. This time of year football and NBA play offs more interesting :) How's Novak looking?

He's looking miles sharper than he has been. Much more interesting than Thiem in the first, but then in the 2nd, he looked weaker, and Dominic broke him twice. Interested to see if he fights for this decider, or fades.

Of course not. It's just a coincidence. I'm not arguing though. Think what you want. You will anyway. :0)
