I like both, but Denis the Menace is so messy and undisciplined. (I mean that kind of in a good way.) Stefanos is up a break again in the 2nd.

Tsitsipas gets it done in straights! Nice win for him.

Did anyone see Nole's match? I am liking the scoreline, but it would be great to have your insights.

Stefanos eliminates Shapovalov. Isn't Tsitsipas better suited to clay? I am asking because I have not seen this match.

What's the reason for crutches? The fall he sustained after he clipped the ad sign did not look that bad... Especially as he immediately got up and kicked the silly sign. Then, he continued playing for another set. Or was it just an adrenaline rush of an injured body, and the angry kick even contributed to his injury in the end and continued playing aggravated it?

Kei defeated Berdych, is Kei healthy now?
Novak served a bagel and a breadstick to his friend Dusan, I will have to see more of him to be assured this is not a flash in a pan .
If anything can be concluded about Novak right now, it's likely his recent problems are mental. If there was anything physical wrong with him last month with his losses in IW & M, he would not be able to pull out such high performance so quickly afterwards.

Novak said that he still felt his elbow at those two events and the last seven days were the first times he played without pain.

Let’s hope it stays this way.

A revived Novak would make clay season a lot more interesting.

Dusan Lajovic is a fine player, specially on clay (I already saw him on the court), but yes today he was terrible. Saw bits of the match and one thing I can say is that Djokovic was not afraid to win points the ugly way (when needed). He never took the foot of the gas pedal.

I agree. No reason to slag Lajovic just because he got out-classed today.

Watching the replay I can see that Shapo plays on clay like a fish out of the water

Meanwhile Alex Zverev says that he would like if the clay season would be longer because he likes to play on that surface a lot and even they still have to play some matches against some tough opponents he would like to play the final vs Nadal. I see that’s the way tennis works......;-):

I don't think Shapo's problem is clay, but discipline. He swings for the fences all of the time. He was an UFE machine today.

I'm not sure what your complaint is against Sasha. Sure he'd like to play the final v. Nadal. Who wouldn't?

I’m not complaining against Sasha, on the contrary I’m glad to see that others players like to play on clay too and about to play the final vs Nadal and beating him I can see it’s the wish and dream of everybody (but not of Rafa’s fans :-()

Surely he makes the whole year more interesting, if he's back. One match is only a start.
