too hilarious.. thanks Tented.. I have been saying for years opponents should do that every opportunity they get to try to rattle Rafa's head

(You won't see the actual 'crime,' but you will see it give Rafa a laugh.)
That's a scream. But all he did was show Rafa how much he's in his head. Must have felt good, though, no?
That can only work if you're about even with Rafa though. If you do that when it's 5-5 in the deciding set you're telling him, "bring it on!." But if you're doing that when you're 1-6/2-5 behind all that you are commincating is your own frustration.the AntiPusher said:too hilarious.. thanks Tented.. *wasn't.the AntiPusher said:I was particularly impressed or encourage by Rafa's play today. I thought the 1st and midway thru the 2nd set Rafa was just blocking his bh back into play, not striking the ball with a purpose and was hitting the ball very short. However, towards the end of the 2set/match he did strilke it with more direction. I know its the early rounds and I dont think he would play the ball so short against the other players in the top 10. Man, The Rafafans we are, we are ultra Critical at times.

had to re-read this like three times until i got it, you had me confused there
Stan the man is dialed in today. Maybe his game is just a bad match up for Murray oon clay or he just reads the ball off his raquet better.nehmeth said:johnsteinbeck said:holy moly Stan the Man. nehmeth - i'm still not sure. Just turned on the match to see Andy getting drubbed. He's an adequate clay court player, and if he can get Stan to play cat n' mouse with him, he has a chance.

Stan is a bad match up for just about everyone when he is at this level. Remember, Stan took Murray out of the USO and Andy is the superior HC player.
Didi said:Stan leads 6-1, 4-2 but Murray shouldn't worry too much. Stan is a very good claycourter and today is playing very close to the level of the Nole match in Melbourne. Murray needs time on the dirt and with Madrid, Rome and possibly Barcelona he's got plenty of time to adjust in time for Paris.
