Looks like Del Potro news is true. Well, at least it is true that if the doctor decides on
surgery, he will be out for the rest of 2014 as rehab takes about 8 months apparently
for this type of surgery.

^ I guess we'll see how his biorhythms match up to Nadal's. Aren't you the guy who thinks that Nadal won 4 RGs, then lost one then won 4, so he's due for another one? We could also compare their horoscopes. Lleyton won their first 3 match-ups on HCs…all before Rafa was 19. I'll give you that Rusty looks less than rusty, and Rafa is looking a little more so, but given the way they both play, I wouldn't be licking my chops just yet.

You are right. Most of Hewitt's victories over Rafa are from long long ago.
However, I am still interested in this match, even if there is no upset potential.
These two do not play each other very often. Lleyton might not be as good as
Rafa, but he is not going to get ruffled by Rafa as he is a veteran.

Anyway, the most interesting thing is that these two have not played
each other on hard courts since 2008 Beijing Olympics. In other words,
after Rafa become proficient in hard court, they have not played each
other on hard courts. It will be fun to watch, hopefully.

I just read the news on Twitter that Del Potro will withdraw from the tournament. He just announced it on his Facebook page.

According to Argie press, he could undergo a wrist surgery next monday and be out for the rest of 2014...let's see if it's true or not but it was unfortunately expected. Sad news anyway

This is so sad, if true. The last time he had surgery, it almost took him three years
to regain his original form and fitness. If he is going to need another three years to
come out of the left wrist surgery, essentially his career will be over.
Hopefully his team took some learnings during the last recovery that they could apply to this rehab to shorten it. I don't know, just looking for a silver lining:(

Bejamin Becker is the VERY lucky loser…just beat Harrison, so he's into the 3rd round.

Grigor-Nishikori match is the one for me tomorrow.

Anyone saw JJ today? Why is he sucking so bad? Hurt? What...?

That battle of young guns will be interesting. But, recently Kei had to withdraw
from some match / tournament due to some injury (was that Delray?). So, he
may not be fully fit. I go with black heart on this one.

Assuming Kei is fit, it will be a good match to watch.

Looking forward to Rafa match as soon as Maria loses.

Unlike Stepanek and Dog, who did not give any rhythm to Rafa, Lleyton
Hewitt will give lot of rhythm to Rafa. If Lleyton can hit lot of winners and
blow out, he has some chance. If it is going to be lengthy baseline rallies,
Rafa will probably finish it in two.

However, Rafa will get 0 points due to Aura or due to opponent
choking in this match. He has to earn every single point.

I don't know why people don't get her. I think she's hilarious and smart.

Yeah man. Some people still call Nadal shoelace or broken shoelace after the AO.

Remember that match in the AO this year against Nishikori when Nadal fell? He broke his shoelace after that fall and was forced to put on some new shoes. Ever since, the terms 'shoelace' or 'broken shoelace' have been given to him. Well, from what I've heard...
