Yes, I brought my son to watch and we were sitting right behind the service area with a great view of the play. Simon is a crafty one.

Goffin has improved and Simon has been making uncharacteristic errors.

McFly has been making some noise early on this year. Was hoping he'd beat Raonic in IW but didn't happen. Now he probably gets Nole...

Berdych serving at 15-40, 1-2, best rally of the match and Djoker throws an angled forehand Nalbandian would have been proud of. 3-1

You have to feel for Tomas. He's played a decent match. Basically nothing to show for it. And Djokovic got the hot stone massage earlier. Clutching his back for a while.

Luckily he has a day off tomorrow, but he has played some tough matches and lots of matches in the last month. The semi won't be any easier. Goffin is playing so well atm.

He had a couple of double faults to gift the break to his opponent. He also often pulls the trigger too soon and makes errors. He would be wise to be a little bit more patient in rallies. ESPN crew were talking about Tomas's serve and how he should do more with it.

Goffin is tricky, but not likely tricky enough to pull off the upset. And probably Djokovic's back was tweaked a bit by having to compensate so much for the wind. Something that Tomas cannot do. Berdych is very consistent, but also consistently the bride's maid, when it comes to the big players and the big titles. For his height, he doesn't really make enough of his serve. Others do it better.

I posted the same thing before I saw this. Tomas really should use his serve to bomb better players into a TB, like Raonic and Isner. There's no way he wins always fighting at the baseline with Djokovic. Plus he would press him more on serve if he held more easily.

Goffin generally beats who you expect him to beat but falls short on the big boys. Don't think Novak will be troubled too much.

Nishikori takes Monfils in the deciding tie break. Strange match but once again illustrates why Monfils, for all his talent is sitting in a tier below the top brass.
