Last years SF Eala was blown off the court by Karolina Muchova (13) 60 62
First Q for Muchova in Miami, her second 1000QF this season
BTW Eala will drop to #45 in the rankings

The match between Mboko and Andreeva is 1 all, going 3
Mboko won the 1st set 76(4), Andreeva playing better in the 2nd set won 64, Andreeva had a MTO, lower back problem and went off court for treatment
Mboko up 4-0 in the 3rd set, still making too many DFs, coaches needs to address this problem, 2nd serve needs attention asap
Mboko breaks again good use of the drop shot, however Andreeva's level has dropped, maybe the back problem has reared its ugly head again in the 3rd set
Mboko d Andreeva 64(4) 46 60 into the QFs Vicky,

Gauff wins the 1st set 64 over Cirstea, both players need to address their UFE, Gauff 21 UFE and Cirstea 18
Cirstea did have an early break in the 1st set, again her UFE was to blame for her being broken
Gauff broke Cirstea to love early in the 2nd set, that didnt last long as Cirstea broke straight back
Gauff breaks and has consolidated leads 3-1, solid play from the baseline
Spoke too soon Gauff broken, 3 games all, I thought when Gauff consolidated the break, she was in control, Cirstea had other ideas
Cirstea wins the 2nd set 63
Gauff has a break and consolidates it in the 3rd set, the match is suspended as a fan has had fainted,, they have called for paramedics to assist the fan, fan is okay match has resumed
Gauff leading 3 -1 3rd set and serving
Gauff holds serve and leads 4-1 3rd set
Gauff with 1 MP, Cirstea with a drive volley and saves MP
MP No 3 Gauff with a great return
Roller coaster of a match
Gauff d Cirstea 64 36 62 and it is Gauff's first QF in Miami her home tournament!

Just switched over to Bencic v Anisimova match
Bencic won the 1st set 62
Amanda had a BP in the 2nd set, snuffed out by Belinda with a good 1st serve, Amanda is clearly frustrated in this 2nd set and down 1 break
Belinda holds and leads 5-1 2nd set.
Belinda will serve for the match at 5-2 and for a place in the QFs
Bencic with a love service game defeats Amanda 62 62 and scores a place in the QFs
Well done Bencic, Amanda was outplayed tonight!

Rybakina seems to be getting more consistent. With her power, she's always been a threat, but I'm hoping that consistency leads to more silverware.

Elena has a great game,, hopefully she can maintain the consistency she has shown since winning the AO this year

I'm always shocked when she loses! Every time I watch a few mins. of her playing, she's very aggressive w/ a powerful serve! Her MPH is up there!

Elena has been on a tear since Ningbo in October. If she doesn't win that tournament, she doesn't make the Year End final (a tournament she won), and Mirra does instead. Very interesting how Elena's career has reached new heights, while Mirra continues to regress.
