This has to be a wake up call for him. I have this feeling he's dialled down his practice a lot. He might need to rethink after this tournament. The only question is how soon will that be?

Wow...I gave Kokk a tiny chance, as he's good, but he's been out for so long.

Well, that's it. And with that, Rafa is #1 again until Monte Carlo.

When was the last time Roger lost two matches in a row?

Shocking loss but good to see another young player making waves on tour. Poor guy's had tons of injuries at a young age and glad he's healthy again. Mirka's so taking out that strap on again tonight. Poor Roger. He's had enough Kokk for one day.

That was my suspicion too. He appears not to be doing the hard yards anymore.

Fucking atrocious, clearly anyone beats him in a decisive TB. There was nothing on any of his shots, this better convince him not to play on clay. Two awful tournaments on medium/slow hards, he isn't going to be a factor on clay.

Well done Kokk! Roger go home and do some work. You can't coast it. These guys aren't that bad

You can't win them all; esp. defending as many points as Roger had to do after so much success last spring! He was rather lucky to have a cakewalk of players "down under" to hold onto that major, but I didn't for a min. think he'd win both IW/Miami again! He should have at least won 1 match to regain the #1 ranking against Kokk! Age and nerves catches up with all of us eventually I guess!  :nono:

To answer my own question, the last time Roger lost two matches in a row was at the end of 2014, when he lost the WTF and then a match at the Davis Cup. If we don't count DC, then earlier that year at Monte Carlo and Rome.
