I think we can agree on one thing: in the same way that I, if I have no skin in the game, will root for the Spanish player, just because I have to pick for some reason, you will pick against the Spaniard that you don't care about, by default. That's all it is, right? I lived in Spain and I love it. That was the beginning of how I became a Nadal fan. You hate Rafa, and it translates to other Spaniards, just admit it. We pick a lot of players and matches emotionally. It is what it is.

No, I just don't like guys in the mold of Ferrer, RBA, and to a degree PCB, though he does go for his shots more than the other two. If I automatically rooted against all Spaniards I think it'd carry over to Lopez, Verdasco and Almagro.

Yup. A style issue clearly. I guess you like Almagro because of the one hander? While I appreciate the shot, I found his lack of fight highly irritating. I'm starting to feel the same way about Dimitrov to be honest. Sometimes love can turn to serious dislike

Yeah he had a beautiful one-hander. Good all-around talent but one of the biggest headcases since I've started watching. And I know what you mean about Grigor. I still enjoy watching him but I no longer have any expectation that he will have a serious breakthrough at a major.

It's getting to the point with Grigor that I don't even want to bother watching him mate. When he's on, he's great to watch, but to put myself through the nonsense isn't worth it anymore. I'm counting on Shapo to grow and improve and become the next one hander I can really back
