I haven't watched a point of this match but let me guess...Delpo mopped around like a sloth on Xanax for a set, then started to hit shots like cannons on the second set but just did not happen today?

Lol! From what I saw that's true to an extent. The only surprising thing was that Isner was running around like an energiser bunny and he's usually a bit of a mopey twat as well. I was very impressed. If he played like that all the time and attacked his forehand like that he would actually be extremely dangerous

Yes, and @Murat Baslamisli, in fairness to JMDP, he was on a streak of 17 matches, and his big body did seem actually to be sore and tired. And yes, Isner was inspired today.

I still don't see why you think PCB was an "evil" if not because he was Spanish, but no matter. I also think I like Isner more than anyone on this forum...and the reasons are pretty much just sentimental. I guess the question of "tall guys/big serves" begs its own thread.
