The guy in the stands was a dick apparently... Nick had a point...
But Kyrgios deserved it too IMO, he provokes that someone says something to him. We should ask to his opponent what he was thinking about all that show.....nothing good

Love him or hate him, Nick adds his own spice to the game - on many levels.

Here we go again...Roger broken early. It is almost like he has a target on his back, bringing out the best in players who now realize they have a decent chance of beating the old fella.

Breaks to take the set, good for him , this will help in keeping the nose ahead in second set. All these things matter now with Roger these days

Typical Roger: goes up a break in the 2nd, now in cruise control.

I actually like it. It's so hilarious. Kyrgios clearly did not even care about the score in this game or cared less than about the argument with the rogue spectator. Kyrgios was unmoved even by the code violation he eventually received (umpire was too lenient by issuing many pep warnings "Nick, please..." beforehand, he should have issued two/three formal violations instead) and still won that game despite the violation! Kyrgios, all in smiles, draw positive energy from the negative spectator, firing his best shots. Only Kyrgios can do that!

I don't mind that Kyrgios is a maverick in tennis, and plays the game his own way. I even thought Nadal went a bit far to call him out for disrespecting the game and his opponent, but in the last game of that set, I think he did. He created a circus atmosphere, which has to be distracting, and then he just pounded Lajovic off the court in the last game of the set. He treated everything like a joke. For all the talk about gamesmanship around here, isn't this a form of it? No player is used to the kind of circus that Nick can create, and it's not what you expect, going on court. I do think it's unfair distraction.

I agree that it is definitely a distraction. However, I don't think it is gamesmanship. That would be gamesmanship if Nick is deliberately indulging in these distractions in order to gain something out of it. I don't think that is why Nick indulges in these things. Nick is indulging in these things just because he is crazy and not because he is trying to cause distraction. So, it is actually unfair to call it gamesmanship.

Kirgies is not crazy, he knows perfectly well what he is doing, besides he likes to get more attention (and he is getting it) he knows to break his opponent focus

Kyrgios has also matured in recent years. What would have resulted from a similar incident involving a spectator against young Kyrgios few years back? Young Kyrgios would have used an audible obscenity, would have received a code violation for that, then would have started arguing with umpire blaming the umpire for the injustice, received another violation, lost his focus and not only lost the match but would have been given a hefty fine, perhaps a temporary suspension. None of that happened today. Instead, a clean win. A win in his own way that not everyone likes, but on the spotlight that he likes. Good work, Nick!
