I am seeing that Tsonga, Monfils and Almagro all are back in action and all 3 of them are in Nadal's quarter

He does seem to be cursed. Well, my expectations for Miami are always limited, given his history there, but I hope it wasn't serious.

Given how close the IW and Miami are, maybe we could cut Miami just a little slack. Players coming and going, dropping out, asking for wildcards and all makes it better for them to not commit to anything until the last minute. The less ruffled feathers the better I think.

I do not like the "stayed on the ground for 10 minutes" part at all, but seems like he is OK. :s

Rafa has such bad luck it baffles me. It's either that or he is very very clumsy. He really didn't need this, I mean, no one does but come on. Just when I thought that he could have some positive results here, maybe even step up to Djokovic in the final (yeah I know, ain't happening) but no. :nono
Of course this injury could be very minor and have no effect on him, we shall see.

Nice that this tourney starts this quickly after IW. Draw looks balanced, should be a good event.

Why is Roger not playing again? Because of his 'management' or something?

Sad end of #practice today for @rafaelnadal who left the court with only one shoe. Might be an #injury #MiamiOpen

He is just taking it easy and relaxing . Since the mandatory tournaments do not apply to him anymore, he can pick and choose his tournaments, rest more.

Miami seems like a pretty relaxed place to me though. Wouldn't mind playing some tennis there

Miami Beach is a relaxed place, however playing both IW and Miami back to back, and going deep, as the top players tend to do, is a lot of tennis. It's almost like a GS. Both tournaments even have 128-player draws, unlike the smaller Masters.

Consider: IW began March 12, and ended yesterday. Miami begins in two days, and ends April 5. That's three weeks of tennis.

Federer should consider playing Miami instead of IW, so he can get everyone when they are already worn out and play them on equal grounds. :snicker

Federer is not playing miami because he doesn't feel like playing Miami.

Grigor has the toughest draw.

The potential line up of opponents for him are

R64 ----- JMDP
R32 ----- Isner
R16 ---- Raonic
QF --- Kei
SF --- Novak
F --- It is really academic, if I mention an opponent for Grigor in the final.:cover
