Stan just closed out Sousa in straight sets.

You are presenting a distorted picture. That was indeed straight sets, but 7-6, 7-5. So, Stan
basically managed to eke out a win in each of the sets.

Nope. Not for a moment I thought Sousa would win this. Too many errors, brainless attack when he did not have to, passive play when he had to attack. Do not go by the score. The game was Stan's from the get go, even though he himself did not play his best. That's how I saw it anyways.

This draw is very impressive! I know just about all the players except the Qualifiers! I'm very impressed and anyone who wins should feel a lot of pride even though Nole didn't play! I still say Nadal won't make it; not sure who it'll be, but I see an upset up and down this draw starting tomorrow! Get your ...

Seems the most interesting matches of the day will be Fed v. Kyrgios and Dimi v. the Fog. I watched some of the Gasquet final v. Big Nick in Estoril. Nick is powerful and aggressive, but incredibly undisciplined and lacking in focus. No shock that the veteran won the day. Roger should likewise take care of him, but it will be fun to see them meet for the first time.

I wonder if Cilic will stand up to his ranking of if Verdasco might take him down.

I think Verdasco will take out Cilic.

Berdych vs. Gasquet may be interesting too. Don't have prediction on it though. Gasquet is coming off a high from his win.

John Isner splits the first 2 sets with Bellucci, both in TB, which is normal, but then in the 3 set, John runs away with a 6-1 unexpectedly

Fernando Verdasco takes down Cilic 6-3 in the third. You must be pleased herios! :)

The Fabulous One is up a set but down a break in the second. He must be thinking "Man, if I can just make it to the quarters, semi is guaranteed" :snicker

I'm no glutton for punishment - no, seriously! - but either Stan or FFS is fine with me for the quarters...

Wow, Dimitrov was bludgeoning the ball out of frustration in these last few points, kind of like Stan at the AO. Let's see if he can keep it up.

Why is there a delay on Rafa's match? The website said a 3.15 start - it's 16.38 in Madrid right now...

Ah okay, I see now. Rather impulsively they let two women on the court first... :cover :popcorn

^Yeah , Serena and Vika are taking their sweet time not converting important points.

One big point was decided by an overhit dropshot that landed in the crowd behind the court before it bounced... :popcorn
