It would have been nice if the organizers could accommodate Cuevas to start play on Wednesday as well, like they did Roger, but I can also see how sometimes it is not possible.

That is just not possible as Cuevas does not have a bye in the 1st round. They need to play six rounds and if the tournament has to end on sunday, all first round matches have to be finished today.

Anyway, Cuevas has already become a victim of this situation and lost promptly.

Good to see MIlos winning his first match . I hope the foot has healed nicely. Always a worry with big dudes.

Kyrgios-Roger? Roger improved (albeit very slowly) towards the final and in the final in Istanbul. If that trend continues, he wins . A set back, Nick can snatch it away.

Anyone have a prediction?

I'm thinking Roger in straights.

I agree. I think this is their first meeting.

It is. That's why I'm particularly curious.

In the outside event that Nick wins, he will become the first person to win against both Fedal in his very first meeting. I think this is the case, but have not checked the record books.

No, that honor goes to Nalbandian.

It was a good win for Milos, first one against Monaco, a typical clay courter.
Stats look good, 64% first serve in, winning 84% of points on first serve and 72% on the second and did not face any BP.

Kohlschreiber wins. He'll play ... wait for it ... Murray!

I saw the draw and the potential matchup again and I think Andy's going down! He got his first clay title and somehow he'll relax a little too much! Since they just played yesterday, I'm sure both have things to think over and use tomorrow or Thursday! :popcorn :p

Let's go Muzza! You got that monkey off your back! How about going on and taking a clay Masters as well?

Stan just closed out Sousa in straight sets.

The blue clay might be gone but players still complaining about some other blue stuff. This time, it was the blue digital ad boards behind the baselines. Sousa was complaining that the ball was disappearing in the blue light. He might have a point too. I would really hate to play facing bright blue ad boards .

You are presenting a distorted picture. That was indeed straight sets, but 7-6, 7-5. So, Stan
basically managed to eke out a win in each of the sets. But, that is good for Stan. He needs
a big showing in this tourney after flaming out early in the last three masters in a row.
