Djokovic was farting out a lot of errors esp in set two,

Federer won first set (on his 2nd setpoint) by coming in and attacking, unlike usopen final.

Well, it is true, Nole did hand him the 2nd set, that's the only one I saw.  I also heard that Federer again stole Nole's chair.  Why does he do this?  And I don't know why Nole would be upset about this (I heard British commentate about this at the start of the 2nd set, not that I saw it.  Although it might be just British commies being a bit melodramatic?)

The loss had to happen sometimes, better in round robin than in the semi or final.  But in order to even reach the final, Nole will have to force himself to reset and regroup.  I think he needs a bit of a push towards the end of the season.  Must be at least mentally draining to play well and win throughout the whole season.  We'll see what happens on Thursday.  I won't be upset if he doesn't even make it to the semi finals.  He's done a lot of winning.

Nice and interesting matches tomorrow, I think.

In all honesty I don't think there was any intent. I was watching when it happened and Roger just picked a chair. I commented as well but more tongue in cheek. As Novak said in the presser afterwards no one tells you beforehand where you should sit. I know what I'm like before a contest, if I make a minor error I just ignore it. Making a change might get me flustered just when I'm trying to get my mentality right

We used to agree that the high bounce to the back hand was one of the reasons Djokovic could have the upper hand over Nadal. Can we say that, on this court, the low bounce give Federer an advantage on bh to bh exchanges with Djokovic? To my eyes he explored it well yesterday, even if I expected more slices.

first set was huge for Federer. it gave him some added confidence and momentum going into the 2nd set.

and he knew he had to put him away quickly.

Rafa's playing better and better.  He did a great job to win that first set.  Murray was fighting him for it.  But Andy definitely tanked the 2nd.  He wasn't going to fight Nadal for 3 hours and risk his Davis Cup, when he'll probably get through to the semis, anyway.  Still, biggest win of the year for Rafa.

I warned about Nadal playing well, he has been playing very well in past few months. This his his worst surface and he crushed Stan and just bullied Murray, who is #2 in the world. He has never beaten Murray on this surface like this...

The commentators were way too negative initially. They were talking about how Stan tanked the match in Nadal's first match and today vs Murray, how Nadal wasn't able to run around his bh often enough, perhaps due to lack of movement. I saw something completely different. First of all, Stan didn't play his best but Nadal's level had something to do with it; similar to how fed's level had something to do with Nole's poor second set. Secondly, I actually liked what i saw from Rafa initially in today's match, he wasn't running around his bh because he was hitting it confidently, a warning sign for his opponents. Murray was trying to attack Rafa's bh and Rafa wasn't allowing it by stepping into the court and hitting his bh with pace and depth, and angles. When Nadal isn't running around his bh, it's a good sign, not a bad sign. The result wasn't that surprising to me. Nadal has been playing very well lately... Will he win the tournament? I don't think so, just because this is one of his worst surfaces but watch out next year.

If Stan gets past Ferrer I think he will dump Murray too and get into the semis.  I'm hoping it's Murray though because Stan is a much bigger threat to Roger on this surface than Murray is.  If Murray makes it the match won't be 6-0, 6-1 like last year but Roger would probably blow through him in easy straights.  With Stan you never know which one will show up and he can trouble/beat Roger on slow courts.

Rafa is better off trusting his topspin backhand and allowing it to get into a little bit of rhythm.

also it helps when you do a little better job of controlling the center of the court.

translation: that is what allows you to control the center of the court better. you have to have confidence off both wings.

trust your topspin backhand and let it get into groove.

not sure what is going on with Stan. he seems out of it at the moment. he is there but it looks like his heart is not in it.

Ferru may get himself a win today.

I am going to pick Ferru today.

^ That could certainly happen.  Ferrer can definitely frustrate Stan into a million errors.  I do think if Stan wins against Ferrer he will be up for it against Murray with a spot in the semis on the line.  And in Andy's case he has Davis Cup to consider.

I am hearing that Roger is angry and not happy with this remark: “I just handed him the win, especially in the second set,” said Novak Djokovic.

I'm hearing you're making this up. Roger of all people, wouldn't get "angry" over such a remark as he tends to make them himself. He understands egos, and how players think, especially when you're the best player in the world. If Roger is indeed angry (doubtful), you wouldn't hear about it as he wouldn't it articulate it to anyone you might have contact with. At worst, he'll mention it to Edberg or Mirka and move on.

FYI, Roger vs. Novak on fast hards is only 50/50 now. If Roger were in his prime he'd have a significant edge.
