Unfortunately I don't have much time to debate the whole event, but I'll give my two cents on this: For me this is further proof Kyrgios has his head on the right place. He knows somehow his style of play allows him to have competitive matches with Federer -- history shows that, and Federer was visibly playing bellow his AO/IW/Miami hard court level. So he had a chance there. He sensed an opportunity and had the guts to raise his hand, the others didn't. And he got pretty close to pulling it out. He was beaten out of the inconsistency of his ground game (he was the first to miss in a handful of important rallies on both tie-breakers). Some may say some UFE´s cost him, but so did Federer's (double faults and netted backhands on the match tie-break). The day he stops listening to all the "talent" bullshit and starts working on his main deficiencies, he gets real close to multi-major territory.
