Not like us Fed fans. We're in through the good and the bad times! :) Makes the good times that much sweeter

I am not part of that brave few, unfortunately.... always one side will "lose", so in fact you (I mean, all of you who stick around in those cases) are the ones that keep the conversation alive.

Ricardo, it is a waste of time - it is as simple as that. You've created this weird strawman of who I am based upon very little and seem insistent upon believing it. You're so far from reality that it just isn't worth trying to convince you otherwise.

you are what you are, an idiot who overrates himself. Prove me wrong, but the evidence is there. You are the one saying the big 3 are all close to their peak level, who is the strawman now? you have convinced me who you are, very well indeed.

Nah.. that's Cali. I might not agree with what he says, but there's a logic to it. Not with this guy... it's pure troll-dom

troll dominator is the word, sorry to tell you but i hunt trolls for enjoyment. you disagreed just about everything Cali says, then say he has logic....idiot much?

you are butt hurt :D

I am reminded of this great quote:

Ricardo, for your own sake, stop making a fool out of yourself - it is unbecoming.

As for the Big 3 thing, the actual quote was "close enough to their peak"...you ignore the word "enough," which leads to your complete misunderstanding of what I wrote. It implies that I am making no judgement about HOW close they are to their peak, but that it is close ENOUGH for Nick's 4-1 record to be meaningful and impressive.

But that might simply be too much subtlety for your rather, ah, simplistic mind to comprehend.

you are an idiot, an obvious fool who points fingers at others. close enough to their peak level? every tennis fan with even the basic common sense would tell you that they are nowhere near. Especially Novak, who went from not losing a match and in fact used to steamroll the start of season to now being about 20th, nobody in his right mind would say he is ANYWHERE close to his peak level.

i'll say again, you are an idiot trying too hard. The evidence is right here.

It's remarkable. I actually think you have a point about the Big 3 being far from their peak levels, but you're such an enormous arsehole it's difficult to write supportive posts. For the record you're not un-PC, you're just a jerk and a troll with small hands. Get over yourself and try to limit the hostility. It's getting boring

Again, Ricardo, you simply don't understand what I actually wrote and are arguing against something I didn't even say. I said nothing about exactly how close they are (or were) to their peaks when Kyrgios beat them, but that they were CLOSE ENOUGH for his wins to be meaningful and impressive...no other young player has done that.

no other young player has done that, that's impressive......that alone would've been fine, but once you bring the 'close enough to their peak' then it matters that you simply cannot back it up, and i say they are not even close and i don't even need to measure 'how close'.

no other young player has beaten all of the big 3.....i agree
that's very impressive.....agree too
they are close enough to their peak......bollock, fact is they are nowhere near. Still that's impressive and meaningful because Nick's the one who's done it.

then try and disagree with whom you just called a jerk and troll. btw i never look for your support, please don't bore me with that. Hostile? i cannot stand those who make it up so it fits their agenda (in this case it's on Nick). look in a different angle, if the big 3 were 'close enough' to their peak level as common sense dictates 'how much is enough', then it wouldn't be this one-side result and we'd be looking at different H-H numbers.....i'd probably still say he is still impressive as his level shown was indeed outstanding, but nobody being level-headed should need to say they were close enough to peak; its not a fact.

Even on Novak alone, his current level is not in the same street or even the same suburb of the peak level he is capable of......in fact it is the opposite, he is playing about as bad as he is capable of at the moment.

Ricardo, look at the actual facts:

Nick Kyrgios Wins vs. Big Three
Wimbledon, 2014: defeats Rafael Nadal 4R - Nadal was ranked #1, just a few weeks removed from winning Roland Garros...close enough
Madrid Masters, 2015: defeats Roger Federer 3R - Federer was ranked #2....close enough
Acapulco/Indian Wells, 2017: defeats Novak Djokovic twice - Novak ranked #2...close enough

Never did I say that they were in their peak or even simply close to their peak. I wrote close enough. Again, meaning at the time Kyrgios beat them, they were all "close enough" to their peak for his victories over them to be meaningful, especially in light of the fact that no other young player - or player at all - has beaten them to the tune of a 4-1 record.

Now stop already.

now you just stop this nonsense and get real. Nadal in first week Wimbledon has been far below his peak level so many times that enough low ranked players have got him there. Thats not close enough.

Federer was no2? give me a break, we are talking a grandpa whose peers have almost all retired and he is in fact 10 years removed from his peak. Not close enough

And Novak? you are just being ridiculous, the ranking does not show where his current level stands. The amount of points he carried over from before is enough for him to stay at top rankings for many months even if he loses every match 6-0 6-0.......IS IT NOT TRUE? even if he's really done NOTHING in 2017 he is still DOUBLE the points of what Stan has who is currently number 3.

Just get out of here with your rubbish stats, and the pathetic argument based on ranking.

Whatever. Nick is talented has won some high-pressure matches. Has anyone mentioned Peter Lundgren (recently) as a possible coach for Nick? He's the guy that steadied Safin long enough to get him his 2nd Major. He also coached Stan in earlier days.

Ricardo, I can't tell if you're trolling or if you are really this much of a dumbass. For the last time: "close enough" in reference to Kyrgios beating them, and it being impressive and meaningful. NOT ONCE did I say they were "close to their peak" when he beat them, only that they were CLOSE ENOUGH for it to be meaningful and impressive.

you've already proven that you are the dumb ass with a big mouth. Mikeone has described that Novak actually just 'crashed' in 2017 which i happen to agree with. For you to use his ranking to qualify that he is 'close enough' to peak shows your strawman mentality. It is his level of play that says he isn't close enough to his peak, ranking means jack......he could've lost every point, every game and every set in 2017 and still would've been No 2. I don't need to go on about Fedal, point is.....it's still impressive because he's done it, just don't tell me whatever crap you were otherwise on about.

i'll simplify this for you El dud, Novak is in fact as far from his peak level as he is capable of, since however long. I don't even bother to check when the last time was when he got beat left, right and centre so early.

Let's just hug it out, Ricardo. If that doesn't work, we can always go camping on Brokeback Mountain together.
