It’s truly amazing. This man, darth, pollutes all threads with pretty much the same narrative - federer old, federer weak, federer awful, federer choked.. djokovic and nadal are just stiffs who just stand there, do nothing, roger can best then in his sleep if he wants to... strangely he doesn’t want to. God forbid prime federer could somehow be re-born.. rafa and djoker would be fighting for games!

You and Cali deserve each other, all just baiting. You getting enough attention at home?

I'm glad the age talk strikes a nerve because it is a fact. The guy is 38 in a couple weeks and should long ago have been ushered out of the sport. Being able to beat Nadal at that age is pathetic on Rafa, being able to come close against what is the second coming of Christ (according to you and others) is pretty pathetic. Think how giddy you are that a supposedly invincible player barely survived against a 38 year old who has done nothing for over 18 months now. Does that not seem odd to you?

I agree it's all just a lot of baiting and tediousness from MikeOne and Cali. Where are those guys most of the rest of the year? I don't think that anyone believes for a second that either one is a Djokovic fan. Mike is a Fed-hater, and Cali...well, is just a contrarian, I guess. Or pot-stirrer. Of course I have to respond to your point about Rafa. If you think that him being able to beat Rafa on grass reflects poorly on Rafa, you undermine your own argument about Roger on grass, and however much you denigrate the current grass. Don't forget that Nadal beat Roger in straights a month ago. At least Rafa got a set on grass.

doesn't seem odd at all... Sampras won 2002 USO after a period where he was way worse than Federer for a few years, did nothing, barely played.

What you lack is logic. In your opinion, singular episodes tell a story. So if at 38 Federer can beat Rafa and Djoker, then this is all we need to know, the story is told, by DarthFed and the story goes 'If he can do this at 38, imagine when he was in his prime'. But Darth's story is just that - legendary story telling, based on fantasies, dreams and wishes.

Where i come in is i remind you, you are just making up stories and we should pause and get real for a minute. Logic points to the fact that Federer, at 38, should win some matches vs Djokovic, even prime Djoker. Why? cause federer is considered GOAT and is too good to lose 100% of the time. He is 9-20 vs Djokovic since 2011 though, so this is what matters. If we just take matches in isolation and make up a story, then i can also be a good story teller, just like you. I can tell you 19 yr old Djokovic beat Federer in 07 so i will go on and write a book 'if that could happen, imagine 2011 Djokovic vs 07 Federer'. It's story telling Darth.

Wimbledon is Federer's house and he is healthy, motivated and whilst less consistent day in day out, he can, as a matter of fact, attain a very high level on any given match and even go on a stretch. Here's another story Darth. Federer has had more success against nadal in past few years than he ever had between 04-07, my story goes like this - 'He's better now than he was back then' but we are back to story telling.

So, we can continue to tell stories Darth but sometimes i will try and bring you down from that cloud, get you back to reality.

Where's Moxie? watch Moxie tell me what i bore i am and be the voice of reason.

I can see why Darth and Moxie have become tight, they are here to lend a shoulder to cry on for each other. That AO Nadal annihilation must have been tough for Moxie (and broken) and this Wimbledon final must have been traumatizing for Darth. Djokovic has brought them together... Djokovic is bringing Nadal and Federer fans close to each other, beautiful.

Even more weird, cali and i have formed an alliance, now that is something!

So there it is. First line of the sentence. Sampras. He's really all you care about...backing up his legacy.

You and Cali make a big show of providing "logic", but you really don't. You argue for the sake of arguing. You both "straw man" to incite argument. Even real Djokovic fans have said that that final wasn't the best of Djokovic. Yet the two of you nattered on for pages and pages. Am I being "reasonable" to say this? I think I am. Are you being a bore? I think you are.

Mike, if you find me uninteresting, I could give 2 shits. And if you ignore me, same. You will rant on for a while longer, and then disappear again. Yet I'll still be here, with my community. Have a nice day. :good:

No one here buys it. Novak is your flavor of the day, used to be Nadal until you no longer needed to lean on a player that likely bores you. Don't worry, Roger will be gone soon enough, and it's been 10 years since he made Sampras obsolete. What will you do then?

maybe but answer this.

I have been a huge Djokovic fan since 2007 and during 09 when everyone was claiming he was sh&t, i warned that he was just in a slump.

now Darth, if my sole motivation was always to stop Fed, why did i not view Novak as a major threat to Nadal? Back then Novak had 1 slam and Nadal getting closer to Fed, shouldn't i have HATED Djokovic? who posed a bigger threat to Nadal than Roger, due to match up?

or did i foresee Novak was going to win 15 majors after 2011 and be the threat to Roger?

let's hear it Darth.

and yes, Sampras is a F CHIMP.

I saw you post that on the other thread, too. That must be tough for you to say. But you have to say, Novak has been a big champion since 2011, and you have never come around here being a Djokovic man. And you have been around, on occasion. You seem not only new to the Djokovic camp, you still seem like a Fed hater. Sorry to doubt your street cred as a Djokovic man, but you just haven't demonstrated it before these last few days. And suddenly, you're off the rails. Everyone to his fandom, but you have to admit you're a bit fresh to the party.

Actually you just take what I say and then create stories like the above of stuff I've never said. And no a 38 year old should not win some matches against a 32 year old. Certainly not any big matches. And there is a reason or 2 that Wimbledon has been pretty weak for Roger in the past 12 years. The grass has only become less and less to his liking. It'd be like if RG was played at Madrid for Rafa or if AO was played at Cincy for Djoker. Roger barely has even made 1 of 2 finals there since 08.

you are a newbie Moxie, i have been a HUGE Djokovic fan since 2007.. always loved the guy. I have been posting on tennis forums way before you.... back when it was on tennis.com, the wild wild west of tennis forums. It got so heated, that many of us were banned, forum was disbanded.

Of the big 3, my personality is much more like Novak than icy cold Fed and nice boy Nadal. Yes, i liked Nadal because he single handily stopped federer from making a mockery of tennis and gave us a rivalry when we needed one but I have always liked Djokovic more. When Djokovic was struggling in 09, i believe in him, warned he would be back.. i never predicted he would do what he has done but always thought he was underperforming and was fan even when he was struggling.

blah, blah, blah...

you say what? Didn't Roger win Wimbledon in 09, 12, 17? made finals 14,15,19? i'm confused.

No Darth, age is just a #. Being injury free, motivated, fit, Roger at 38, IS VERY CLOSE to Roger at 04,05,06,07, on any given day. Didn't Roger lose to Nadal in 08 Wimbledon and needed 5 sets vs Nadal in 07 Wimbledon? yet, in 19, against #2 ranked Rafa, a red-hot Rafa, beats him in 4, routinely? Shouldn't old Roger, on slow grass, have lost 1,1,1 against red-hot 19 Rafa if Rafa was beating him and taking him to 5 sets back in 07,08? explain

Michael the prophet. So you knew in 2009 that Djokovic would be a dominant player from 2011. So you could as well tell who will win the next 3 grand slam tournaments.

You were a fan of any perceived threat to Roger. I remember that board well. Hell, you were backing Murray strong to win 2008 USO, convincing you and your fellow zealots that Murray would have the upper hand in the final. You were of course a much bigger fan of Nadal, the only hope you had and therefore the #1 stallion in your stable, but I know you will keep running with this revisionist history.

but why be a fan of Novak when Novak posed the bigger threat to Rafa, who was the one close to Fed in slams whilst Novak had 1 slam? you haven't explained this very well, yet. Try.
