But is it really shocking? His record this year is not very impressive for someone ranked No. 5.
While I was certain he will not repeat his last year performance (final), he is not able to strong wins together anymore. That is shocking.

In the mean time Grigor is out, beaten by Struff
He has become a joke.

Him and Zverev should go on a road trip together to re-think what to do next. It could end up more productive than playing every week like this.

I hear Zverev lost to a low-ranked Italian.

Depends what do you mean by low ranked.
For me low ranked means outside of the top 50 or 60, Matteo Berrettini is not that low. .

looks like one of us will end up 0/3
Looks like Cecchinato v. Kohly was postponed until tomorrow, presumably by darkness. We'll have to wait until tomorrow for those "bragging rights." :D

Berrettini has had a bit of a breakthough season. He's actually part of the strong class of '96--along with Coric, Khachanov, Medvedev, Chung, Kokkinakis, Garin, etc--but only reached the top 100 in 2018 so was a bit later to bloom. He finished 2017 #135, 2018 at #54, and is #33 right now. He's won two titles in each of 2018 and '19. He beat Ernests Gublis in the second round of RG last year before losing to Dominic Thiem in four sets.

The point being, while he's probably not a future elite he's no slouch.
