Novak is back to his "I'll return anything and everything you can throw at me" antics.

Watching this match makes me wonder: Is Novak the most frustrating player to play against in the history of men's tennis?

Finally after a long absence of a dtl backhand... he uses it again in that last point and finishes with a beautiful cc backhand. Nice job.

You mean like a Ferrer 2.0?

Like a better Ferrer, but David doesn't quite have the pizazz and total coverage that Novak does.

Congrats to Novak.

Novak's looking good. The wrist is definitely okay and he's able to withstand long attritional tennis. I only saw the last few games, but some tough thumping there from both of them... :clap

What's this mean? Roger's fans dislike Daveed Ferrer?

I think Roger keeps his #4 ranking as a result of Ferrer's loss?

Is it? :laydownlaughing

I wish I saw Roger fans here looking to him to do his own dirty work instead of relying on others... ;)

That's right, nehmeth. Roger needs all the help he can get. A top 4 seeding means he avoids Rafa and Novak until at least the semifinals. I don't expect him to make it past either of them, but still. Who knows, maybe Kei or Grigor can pick off one of the Big Two and pave the way for Roger or Andy.

Andy win Roland Garros? Yeah, right.

I have to agree with Kieran here now that you brought novak getting knocked off. Desperate anyone?! :laydownlaughing

I think the Fedfans would throw a party if Rafa's back and Nole's wrist went the same day... :snigger

Strange bedfellows, but I will take rafa healthy if novak stays the same.

I'll take the two of them healthy and let them slug it out. There isn't a bigger match in tennis at the moment...

As much as Novak waltzing into an RG victory with a flailing rafa is more than acceptable to me ;), it would be best for the stars to aline for them to have a real slugfest at RG, where both are playing great.
