Well done Nole and thank you Julien. Good opportunity to get into another Masters final.

Really hope he plays Ernie in the semis; I think it would be exciting. If he plays Isner, I believe he'll be ready for what he needs to do to win, but it won't be nearly as fun to watch.

Yeah, I fully agree. Isner just makes me nervous, but it's boring at the same time. Rooting for Gulbis too, but that's because I like him better.

So apparently it's the first time since 2006 that Novak doesnt show up at IW with a title... but he only played two tourney's of course.

Novak said he was working with Becker 'on a few things' in the post match interview. Wonder what that is.

He reminds me of Ivanisovic (childhood hero of mine, together with Agassi and Bruguera).

Bruguera has not aged well. :nono

Not that bad if you ask me and nowhere near as bad as this.

Haha, man, this is terrible. Something to avoid personally.

What about this one:

They still age man. It's confrontational.

Anyway, Gulbis leads the h2h 2-1:

I expect Novak wants to get through this one quickly as possible - with a semi tomorrow and the final on Sunday.

The draw has been great so far. It's been good to get some confidence and all.

With lot of easy opponents (except for Cilic), Novak got a lot of practice on how to
lose concentration. Now, let us see whether he can apply all the practice to his SF match.

Yeah true, and some general hitting practice in a match setting.

That forehand motion still cracks me up every time I see it.

A very unpromising start. Looks like 2 or 3 tie-breakers ahead of us.
