Speaking of Mardy Fish...what the hell is happening with him? Not officially retired but hasn't played in ages. Is he gonna retire or what? Any news on him? Real shame about his heart and depression problems :( His match against Roger in Cincy 2012 had some ferocious action from both guys.

Last I heard he was looking into pro-golf. I am a pretty big Fish fan. I don't see him ever coming back, I just don't think he trusts his body (heart) at that top level.

That's too bad. Golf is fun too though. Is he any good?

It's looking good enough to beat Benneteau so far, still a bit too much UE's.

That's all I heard too. He talked about golf but mentioned nothing about tennis. Certainly easier on the heart anyway! A shame though, he was a player I liked watching. On any given day he could give any top guys a hard time.

About as much as his serve improved with Todd Martin. :cover

:D Nah, come on! I think it's better. More confident in playing volleys.

Great backhand, and a really fun all court attack game. He will be missed!

Dennis: no idea if he is any good at golf, but I imagine he is alright or he wouldn't even consider. I honestly don't have much stomach for that game. It seems the golf gets in the way of a nice day's walk.

Not what I have seen. Remember the AO match point. Botched easy volley.:cry

Too bright for that shirt Mox. It's a clash.

LOL. I like the shoes. As Rog's friend Anna Wintour would say, "They 'go with'. They don't clash."

Looks like Benneteau needs to catch his flight or something.

Is Novak playing that well or Julien that bad?

Dammit, almost forgot about that. Yeah that was pretty terrible allright. But it looks okay at IW.

I'm beginning to wish Roger had changed racquets 3-4 years ago.

The man is resistant to change. Just be glad he finally warmed up to this one.

All the great ones are. It took Tiger Woods YEARS to change to graphite clubs to the point where his hated rival Phil Mickelson said Tiger was playing with "inferior equipment"...even as Tiger won everything in sight while Phil watched from the club house...

Actually a bit in between I guess, just some disinterested shots by Benneteau.

Shame, I like Julien, but he has a lot of trouble in the big moments. Go NOLE! I have to go though. Have fun everyone.

"Okay" - he's been stuck at okay for some time. Becker hasn't even gotten it to where it's "good". :)

Fair enough. That said, those two volleys in the first game were just very good. That's why I probably brought it up.
