Rafa has to go bolder. Play Stepanek at his own game.

Get drunk, act sleazy and nail anything with a heartbeat seems to be Stepanek's motto :snigger Or you mean a different game ? :D

Well, I didn't mean be a serial-"dater" of much younger tennis players, no. I was thinking of aggression on court.
Big sexy can't help it if the female persuasion find him irresistible.:snigger
Gotta be something along the lines of hung like a ....

Novak's projected QF opponent (JMDP) has withdrawn. His projected SF opponent
(bird) has been sent home. Novak is running out of serious opponents to play with
and get some hard practice before the final (except possibly for Cilic and Grigor/Gulbis).

Confidence is huge in tennis. I am not sure about Gulbis, but I expect both Cilic and Grigor to give Nole a run for his money. They might not win, but they will make it interesting.

Just checked the final result:

Murray - Vesely 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.

This has to be very encouraging for the young Czech, he is in his first year on the nain ATP Tour.
I think both Thiem and Vesely will be very good players, in comparison with the last few waves in the 21-24 bracket.

Based on score Roger -Tursy is also a tight one:

Roger took the first set with 7-6 (7)and now they are heading to the second TB, with Roger leading at 6-5

EDIT: TB it is

I watched some of it. It was the first time I'd ever seen Vesely, who has playing quite well, while Murray was not. I don't think Andy is 100% yet, based on what I saw, especially his movement.

Agreed, Herios. I'm excited to see how things go this year for Vesely, Thiem, Pospisil, and Dimitrov.

Listening on headphones and only watching here and there but only that I know only men umpire mens' matches I could've sworn that umpire was a woman. A tough match for Roger as Tursunov is playing very well lately.

I didn't watch it but don't sound so surprised. He's been losing the first set of matches for a huge part of his career. Murray to lose first set and win match is a winning bet many a time.

Actually, Jiri was leading 4-3 and serving in the third set. Had a very good chance of
winning it.

But, Andy took the last three games (with two breaks and hold) to win the match.

Roger wins 7-6, 7-6 and Phabio starts by breaking Gael's first service game.

Fed wins with a couple of tie breakers.

Fed played the second tie breaker great. (I did not see the first one).

However, he needs to improve the return game.

Also, backhand shanks are still there.

He had a +10 differential in winners/UFE.

None of the top-guys are winning even the beginning rounds like
"Maria Sharapova", the dominatrix (Hope My Sherona is reading this).

Everybody is struggling and eking out wins, if at all they win.

Looks like there are no clear favorites to win the title at this time.

That is because the ceiling is broken and the top 4 try to tape it but, still leaks...:laydownlaughing

Ya, that umpire had a feminine voice and on top of it, he talks a lot.
