that would be my bet too@Federberg His last two wins have been on grass and clay which haven't been great hunting grounds for post-surgery JMDP.
If JMDP's back issue from last match is not a concern I think he will win this match
Sorry, that was meant to be funny, and mostly directed at you. Should have added a wink. What's wrong with Roger being in? Remember when you used to criticize everyone for strongly rooting against Nads? Bottom half looks interesting to me this tourney, I think Koleslaw run ends here but the other three could make the final.
I think it's the right bus. You have said how much the 2017 USO was "essentially a 250" so many times that I was going to suggest you give it it's own thread. That way you wouldn't have to type it again, and I wouldn't have to read it again. You could just give it a *bump.* This put ol' nadal2goat onto the same denigration train. The ATP is in a period of change, and lots of top players are on the injured-reserve. If we judge all of the top tournaments right now by who's out, then they all look a bit fallow. Or, we can look at who's coming up, which is exciting. Yes, Roger, and Rafa have been there to take some advantage, but others will as well. There will be times like these. Looking down our noses at them is not interesting, only small and partisan. Seeing who flowers up from the peat is.
That part of the sentence may have been a rhetorical flourish, but, as you note, not inaccurate, and led nadalgoat2 into a boring copycat mode. Believe me, I know you've got plenty you dislike about Nadal, so you don't need to list them, yet again. You do it plenty often enough, don't worry about that.I didn't deny saying the weak event thing. What I denied is that it's my "favorite thing against Rafa." The weak field thing stemmed only from the USO Open and referred strictly to that tournament. I don't say that aobut ALL the tournaments Nadal plays - especially if Roger is also playing. Obviously Roger's presence and their potential to meet in the final elevates a tournament.
Maybe I don't rag enough on Nadal's inability to win off clay enough in my comments here, so you don't realize that's actually my most favorite thing against Nadal. But...if you'd like...I'd be happy to start doing that. Or I could go to my other favorite thing to rag on Nadal about - which is picking his underwear out of his butt 4,000 times a match, but I've been trying to NOT go there. I realize that's a tick left over from childhood, but you know what - the man is nearly 32 years old and can afford a psychologist that specializes in breaking bad habits. Problem is he's superstitious and doesn't want to change his routines so he continues doing it. I could go on about these 2 things for years - and have - just not on this forum. So no...it really wasn't the right bus to throw me under.
No see you cherry picking that say that I meant was there is no one as strong as federer, del potro not on federer level at the moment but could still beat him if federer a little off.

With AP and Carol having tucked their tails and ran away from this forum, Kieran probably living in a hut on the west coast of Ireland after the 2017 AO, and nadal goat being on the lunatic fringe, poor Moxie has to carry the torch for Nadalite extremism. Give her a break
And glad she has to carry Nadalgoat, the Jar Jar Binks of Rafalites
You know it does make me wonder....I try to be (perhaps overly) egalitarian about tennis fans, assuming that fans of different players aren't any better or worse than fans of other players. But on the other hand, while there are almost all types of fans of every player, I don't see a certain breed as fans of Roger or Novak. I don't know why Rafa attracts a kind of fringe lunacy that the others don't, at least to the same degree.
No that we nadal fans really care about, is the French open federer can have number one, plus even if he wins he's still be behind the great for overall masters titles. If "as strong as Federer" is your definition of a strong player, then there have literally only been two players in the last two decades who qualify and yeah, they're both out now.
What you're really saying, I think, is that you're butthurt that Roger is still #1 and probably going to win another Master's.
do you think Rafa would rather have a lead in masters series or slams mate? Be honestNo that we nadal fans really care about, is the French open federer can have number one, plus even if he wins he's still be behind the great for overall masters titles.
Well slams, but masters lead is still good.meow?
