Interesting article about the length of the season. His Airness doesn't think it should be shortened!

IF the season going to be cut. lets them cut everyone's salary by 25% a year.. I bet that will stop that follishness

Well that's why I was surprised to see the extremely money-hungry Lebron bring it up even though he realized that it would mean less salary. With the new TV deal which will bring unprecedented money into the league it is a good time to consider cutting the season. Salaries will be way higher so they can then afford to cut the new salaries a bit to shorten the season. But then the aforementioned TV deal would have to be cut as well.

Yeah it is a shame. He really hasn't had a chance to do anything in LA and now it seems that it's all over. Meanwhile he is a popular scapegoat for why the team is in such awful shape now. Nash will be a HOF'er for sure.

Looking forward to the start of the regular season tonight (Mavs/Spurs) and (Rockets/Kobe's Lakers), tomorrow the return of D-Rose @ the Garden.

I hope D-Rose will have a full season. he is a pleasure to watch for sure.

My Raps starting against the Hawks tomorrow. Hawks will be a powerful team this year I think.

What are the predictions on the year? Will someone stop Lebron in the East or the Spurs in the West?

Before Durant's injury I might have picked Thunder to take the West but now I think SA will have a good chance to build a lot of ground and gain home court throughout at least the West.

I still think until we see otherwise you can put LBJ on a team of scrubs and they will still win the East. And with Love and Irving it is not a bad supporting cast, probably better all around than last year's Heat. So I will go with Spurs over Cavs in 6.

I agree with the Cavs. They might struggle early on but I think once they figure each other out, they will be right there at the top.

For me, Indiana is the biggest question mark. Letting Stevenson go was a mistake. And now george is out for the year. They might not even make the post season...

^ That's 2 of their major point contributors. I don't see them making it either. The Spurs are getting their rings on TNT. Speaking of Spurs, they haven't come to an agreement w/ Kahai Leonard yet

Indy will be bad, no question. Of course in the East literally every team has a chance at the playoffs since all it takes is 35 wins probably.

Basketball is healthy, no savior needed unless you are/have been desperate for your team to get past the Miami/Cleveland Lebron's :snigger

The Bucks are so bad I don't have to worry about them getting past anybody.

At least you have a winning franchise in football. I have to rely on the Blackhawks for any bragging rights. :lolz:

They are a "winning franchise" but not anywhere near what they should be. I could coach that team to as much success as McNugget has the past 3+ seasons.

I love watching the old timers going at it...Duncan schools Chandler, and then Dirk drills the corner three and then Parker with his own three...It is a fun game, the Mavs-Spurs game. I like Pop's beard too...a little Sean Connery look there.

I am just saying I want to see something new.. Golden State, the Bulls or even the Dallas.. enough of LBJ and the Spurs:speechless:

I am looking forward to see Drose and the new cast of characters around him.. Glad Boozer gone.. I think the Knicks are gonna eventually move JR if Hardaway is going to get an opportunity to shine.( there are only some many shoots left after Melo gets his)

Raps of to a good start. Atlanta is a tough team though and Korver is still an amazing scorer. 6 of 7 from the three today.

New Orleans looking good. Their front court with Asik and Davis just killed Orlando yesterday. Asik finally has the gig he wants, Davis is a monster. They had 34 rebounds and 14 blocks between them. Crazy.
