OK. I'm back after work got in the way. :D
I see Tommy came through finally and now Rog is looking good for a 3-set win up 5-1 in the decider

Can Delbonis take out Tursunov? If so, it will be an interesting quarter against possibly Janowicz (if he can do away with Verdasco).

As noted, match of the day is Berlocq vs Haas.

Yep, Berlocq fresh from winning his first ATP tour title. Interesting match for Tommy.

It never ceases to amaze me when things like that happen.

I like Tommy's chances here. Between the home-crowd factor, and the question as to how much is left in Berlocq's tank, I think he'll win.

yeah, i'm also rather optimistic about Tommy's chances. he had a somewhat early exit in Stuttgart, and i think he's more than motivated to make up for it now. he still hasn't won in his hometown, so it's a big one on his list for sure. funny indeed that they've never met. Tommy's prolonged absences make that stuff more likely, i guess.

in other news, J Monaco came through in three against Paire (#5 v #9, quite the matchup for round three, i guess), Almagro d GGL in straights, as did the Fog - 62, 64 v Granola.

in what's probably the match of the day, JJ and Nando Verdasco are on serve in the first, with JJ serving at 5-6 to make it into the tie-break.

Nando takes the first 7-5, and is up a break in the second, 3-0. looks like after the Gulbis threat, the JJ one will disappear as well. not that Fernando is any less dangerous :)

Tommy up a double break, serving at 4-1. so yeah, we weren't totally wrong in feeling good about Tommy.

JJ retired while trailing 0-4 in the second. no idea what happened there.

as for Tommy - broke in the second, serving at 2-1.

Tommy's serving rocks today. 6 aces and a host of service winners. Up 6-2 3-1

make it a double break now 4-1

Some errors from Tommy and he fails to serve it out or break for the match. He will serve for it again at 5-4

Finally after a handful of MP's he gets the job done 6-2 6-4

Fed-Hajek 3-3 on serve, but Fed's facing two bps now.

Scratchy play from Fed. First srv % not high enough. He squeaks out the opening set 6-4

Fed picks up his play a bit in the 2nd and takes the match 6-4 6-3

Using and online translator I gathered some info. Right hand injury. Didn't really get more specific than that.

Florian takes the breaker 7-1
