Tomorrow will be interesting: Federer vs. Brands. They've never played, but Brands was quite impressive at RG. Could be a good one.

Yeah I'd love to see Fed v Brands, especially to showcase his new racquet against a huge serving guy with powerful groundstrokes. Will have to check out highlights next few days as I'll miss it with work.

no clue.. just following the stats, baffled as well. i urge everyone to look at the stats, somewhat surprising - Tommy was serving better in the second than in the first. seems that it's Kavcic who got his act together, or mainly his serve. Tommy couldn't touch him on the serve in the second. now, it seems tighter, and Tommy has been in each of Kavcic's service games...

and as i typed this, he broke. Tommy up 3-1 now and will serve next.

and then he's broken back at 2-4.

on serve now, 4-4. serving at 3-4, Blaz doubles twice from 40-0, but gets it done. must be a weird match.

Yes, that was weird. Two double faults, then an ace.

Now Kavcic serving at 4-5

i could try, but i got a feeling my boss wouldn't appreciate ;)

nah, he probably wouldn't care, but we got pretty strict content filter system going on at this place, streams don't go through that (even the ones i actually tried to follow for work).

anyway, i digress... hooray for tommy!

now everyone is waiting for the old one with the huge racquet. i think i got an early peak here!

Monfils doesn't matches up well is JM.. Pushing the ball to a backboard like JM is not a very smart tactical approach.. Too bad because the difference in talent is exceptional

Brands breaks to go up 5-3, and will now serve for the first set.

With an ace, Brands wins 1st set.

and, how does he look like, apart from losing? i actually left the office to check at my nearest sports betting place, but - you won't believe this - they don't have the pay tv channel that would show the match.

well, i guess it's not surprising that the most intricate motion is the first to suffer from a big change. funny enough, he got like four aces in his first two service games, right?

oh well, we'll see. i guess he'll be realistic about this himself. a quick loss would surely be frustrating, mostly because entering these tournaments was all about getting a few more matches under his belt. but you can't really be surprised about such an outcome either, basically just days after the racquet change.

btw, he's serving at 75% in the 2nd now, and has won all his service points so far. go figure ;)
and now breaks at love. damn, maybe i should have rushed home to put on the stream anyway, i might catch the end of a third set. i reckon noone knows of any smartphone/android compatible streams? ;)

He's playing MUCH better now. Very aggressive, coming to the net. Maybe he was just a little nervous and tentative in the 1st, and has worked through it.

Up 4-1 very quickly, after breaking and holding at love.
