Still don't understand what happened to Nadal's wide serve on the ad court. When Nadal reached the Wimbledon final 5 times in 5 appearances, the most remarkable thing about it was how difficult his serve was to break and how effective it is on grass.

I think that's the main problem for the past 2 years on grass. Nadal is up against these hot servers with big strokes who find it quite easy to attack him even when returning, while he gets no rhythm, no cheap points, and can't rely on defending.

Brown's lobs are first class. That's 3 gems so far.

This isn't that surprising. You could practically count on one hand the number of grass-court matches he's won in these Wimbledon tune-ups since winning Queen's in 2008. And that includes 2010, when he won it the second time, and 2012 when he lost to Rosol.

Great lob by Brown again - to break, again!

But I don't like those celebrations. :nono

You simply can't trust these unnamed players. They are always late to the party.

Raise your hand if you think Halle will offer him a small fortune to come next year, given his performances here the last two times.

Didn't surprise me in the slightest. Have €500 on Brown in 2 :D Makes up for not betting on the French Open. Sweet!

Yep, his grass-court game has been MIA for years now, yet he can still win RG, the USO, get to the final of the AO, etc.

Nadal needs to find his serve and get a slightly kind draw in the first week of Wimbledon. I think he'll be fine if he gets to the second week. Though 2 hours ago I would have thought Dustin Brown constituted a kind draw so...you know.

Front, you should also place a bet that Brown will lose to Kohlschreiber.

No need for any more bets for a while, tented. I just made 27k! Thank you Brown and Nadal!

Browns team celebrating like he just won a slam. He put in a great performance, though.

Rafa gets a fat cheque but no practice here... :nono

So, again, not a big surprise if Front felt comfortable enough to place this bet.

I wouldn't be overly worried by Brown at Wimbledon. He caught Rafa at exactly the best time to catch him.

I agree though, that Rafa needs to improve - but that would have been true even if he won today...

Guy has a huge serve and big, big returns and Halle is faster than Wimbledon so I figured he'd win. Surprising he's taken so long to start these kind of wins with his game though he beat Hewitt at Wimbledon last year which was a great win. A lot of people won't be happy meeting him at Wimbledon.

I'm not worried by Brown at Wimbledon. I'm worried by Nadal, since it seems "the best time to catch him" nowadays is anywhere on grass.
