Gasquet is probably done as a top ten player. He played to the best of his ability last year, scraped into the tour finals and lost every match. I can't see him improving on that and I think he realises he probably can't so he's possibly lost a bit of motivation.

I guess you's right unfortunately

I also think Tsonga is past his prime. JWT was ranked 5 less than two years ago, now he is 17.

I wouldn't be surprised if JWT never gets back to the top ten, but I wouldn't rule it out just yet as he has a much higher maximum performance level than Gasquet, hopefully he rediscovers it.

The schedule is out for tomorrow. No Federer or Nadal so they'll play their R2 matches on Thursday. Means they'll be playing four straight days if they're to get to the final.

That's bad news from both of them. It will be hard to play for four straight days after playing in Roland Garros.

That kind of pisses me off. Thursday is a really late start. Roger will be looking to win, and I hope he does. Rafa will be looking to get his feet in the grass. I hope he gets a couple of rounds.

I anticipated this, when I saw the field is less than 32 players. It usually happens when the top players get a pass into the R16.

Top 8-10, perhaps, but I doubt he will be back in the 5-7 range again.

Roger will play tomorrow in doubles.

He didn't. Won with Chiuduinelli by default, their opponents retired.

Sounds about right. I do like Tsonga but I think he's had his time now. I'd rather see the likes of Dimitrov, Gulbis, Raonic and Nishikori have a nibble at the heels of the "Big Four" now.
