JJ lost again to some qualifier. This guy made the semis at Wimby. I don't get it.

Like the other young players, he just can't pull it together mentally.

Janowicz is the most talented of the youngsters for me, but he doesn't have anything like the hunger or focus that Raonic and Dimitrov have (and these guys are hardly ruthlessly focused themselves). It's evident in the fact that Janowicz has no plan B and just sulks his way to defeat if plan A doesn't work while Raonic and Dimitrov (and Nishikori) have all recently employed new coaches to try and gain an extra few per cent, improve their game and make another step or two up the ladder.

I think Janowicz' career will continue in a similar vein, a couple of headline grabbing runs each year dotted in between a host of disappointing defeats, unless he has a sudden attitude change like Gulbis has seemed to go through this year.

Just saw on Rafa's facebook page that he's already in Halle, hitting on the grass... :clap

It means that his back is good enough to play 2-3 matches before Wimbledon. I hope he plays well here so he can have some momentum going into Wimbledon.

According to l'Equipe Haas could miss Wimbly too, he's looking for a shoulder's spécialist asap

I really like how Nadal chose to play Halle, even if he doesn't win it. He is coming off an emotionally and physically RG victory, and now he has already shifted his focus to the grass. He's just got so much focus and determination. It's amazing how never gets caught up in his victories. Same with Federer.

Gasquet is probably done as a top ten player. He played to the best of his ability last year, scraped into the tour finals and lost every match. I can't see him improving on that and I think he realises he probably can't so he's possibly lost a bit of motivation.

I hope Raonic will continue here to display improvement, like he did on clay. He needs to get his footing on grass, because he will be seeded 8 at Wimbledon and he better take advantage of that.
His first match will be against Gojowczyk

I also think Tsonga is past his prime. JWT was ranked 5 less than two years ago, now he is 17.

So when is Nadal playing?

Must start tomorrow. He's not on the schedule for today, nor is Roger.

He does not "must" start tomorrow. R32 is yet to be completed.
R16 will start tomorrow, but not all of the matches will be played. Only a few. He "might" start tomorrow, if not, then on Thursday.

Ivo-Federer match is going to be one of those "it will come down to 1 or 2 points" kind of match I think and Ivo is playing with confidence. Assuming both get there, Roger better bring his own serve as well, and some clutch TB plays.
