Its ok, you have my approval :clap
I "liked" your post too.
Well here's my take:
The most diverse achievement in the Open Era is the Double Career Grand Slam (or 2 Calendar Year Grand slams obviously, but nobody is going to do that in the Open Era, anytime soon anyway).
Tick that box if Nadal wins the Australian Open again (and in my opinion he will win the Australian Open again).
And the most incredible achievement in tennis is to win one slam event A DOZEN times (and I think Nadal will win Roland Garros a dozen times). It is so incredible because it means Nadal literally takes ownership of the history of a slam event (or you could say winning TEN of them is enough for ownership), to the extent of almost deserving to have it named after him. This is huge, considering none of the other 3 slams events even have a clear-cut leader.
So if Nadal is resting his body in the middle of his 10th slam-winning year, I say he's increasing his chances of winning the Australian Open and also increasing his chances of reaching A DOZEN French Open titles.
But, I realize there are a hundred different opinions and permutations and combinations of what matters most in tennis, that's why I have no problem with your opinion. You won't hear me try to censor your opinion, ever.
Anyway, we are talking a lot about Nadal. And that's forbidden. So that's all I have to say about that :clap

The entirety of my PM is what you copied -- I did not "warn" you about people like Moxie (or anyone else).
Okay, well I certainly took it as a warning of how people such as Moxie would perceive it.
Its exactly what happened.
For the record, I don't think anyone's poor perception of you has anything to do with your being from Australia. And it's not aided by your paltry attempts to sew divisions. Tented was trying to help you in finding some humor about yourself. We have been trying to find a way to fit you in. You seem to resist.

You actually joke more than you realize btw :snigger Try reading your posts as if you weren't a Nadal fan and you'll see what I mean. In fact, your posts make many Nadal fans here embarrassed such as claiming he's had a "perfect year" (how could anyone sane claim that?!) and making progress at Wimbledon.
I've never said Federer sucks. That's a word you guys like to use. That and "goat".
Since last year I have been forecasting that Nadal's best shot at Wimbledon would be 2015 because there will be an extra week between the French Open and Wimbledon. So making the 4th round in 2014 was as good as we could expect, because it got Nadal some grasscourt matches/confidence which he can build on in 2015 when he has time to better recover from clay. And he actually played extremely well on grass this year, but was outgunned by the Kyrgios zone.
And Nadal's year is also perfect because he's been able to rest during the most damaging time of all - the never-ending hardcourt season which goes from August-lateMarch.
I've always preached that Nadal needs to reduce the number of hardcourt events, and that what happened in 2012 should be the norm eventually.
I've also spoken of how important the Double-Career-Grand-Slam is, so why would he need the US Open and Wimbledon? But I'd also want to see him play some events toward the end of the year, because you don't want to enter Doha/Australia having not played on hardcourts since lateMarch.
So playing the World Tour Finals and another indoor event or 2, is perfect (plus he's never won the World Tour Finals, and he's made the final twice, so its worthwhile).
Anyway, you don't want to hear about the positive things in Nadal's year.....
The only positive thing for Nadal this year really of note was winning the French Open and you know it. Nadal has no knee problems for quite some time now so missing the US Open is not perfect unless you're a raving lunatic. Not being able to compete properly in the AO final was not perfect, not making the 2nd week of Wimbledon was not perfect. You should really look up the definition of perfect online. You say why would Nadal need Wimbledon or the US Open? Why do you think? It's 2 more slams. Duh. Ministry of the bleedin' obvious.
Winning nothing but RG every year is not perfect despite what you may think, the diversity of winning other slams is a lot better. Sure the AO would be great for him but there a lot of potential obstacles now standing in the way and not playing for months isn't the way to go about winning it except in your own "perfect" world. As I said, the one and pretty much only perfect thing for Nadal this year (by his standards) was winning the French Open and you know it. The rest did not work out as planned.
