I was poncing around on wikipedia queens club pages recently and noticed in 2008 that rafa sneaked past ivo "tiebreak" karlovic 6-7, 7-6, 7-6. close shave for wfa..typical ivo lol.

I think he took about four MTO's in that match was an average of 67 seconds between points. It was a good day... :clap

Nah, you're getting mixed up with the match against Petzschner at Wimbledon 2010 and the one against Haase before that :p

Ferrer is going to talk to his doctor (Luis Garcia Del Moral) based in Valencia. Good man.

According to l'Equipe, Stan is in bed with fever. His doctor came to visit him in London and Stan could pull out of Wimbly if he doesn't feel better very soon. Get well Stan and be careful

This isn't news but a question. Since Mardy Fish hasn't officially retired but hasn't played in ages and seemingly only wants to play golf now, is he likely to officially retire any time soon?! I must say I thought he might play some of the US hard court matches later this year and give the US Open a shot and then retire there.

All white on the night: Pat Cash falls foul of Wimbledon dress code

Former champion calls Wimbledon's strict rules on white clothing 'ridiculous', claiming they meant women had to play without bras

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2014/jun/26/all-white-pat-cash-falls-foul-wimbledon-dress-code

The former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash has pulled out of its veterans' competition after his tennis shoes fell foul of the tournament's dress code.

Players were warned before this year's tournament that officials would be rigorously enforcing its rules on "almost entirely white" clothing – meaning that the bright underwear, coloured soles and conspicuously contrasting trim spotted in previous years would be outlawed.

-----------

To be honest I'm not sure why he's complaining. I think some players were pushing the boundaries. I'm not surprised Wimbledon are enforcing their dress code. I've only noticed one player that wasn't wearing a bra. She didn't have much to put in one though.

Isner was asked if he'd hire a female coach. This is his response.

"I don't know. Maybe for me it would be kind of a little weird. They can certainly coach just as well as anyone. But the relationship side of it, you know, being at Wimbledon, staying in the same house together, just maybe kind of weird, I guess. I don't know."

You don't need to sleep with her John.

:lolz:

He also shouldn't assume she would want to sleep with him.

Oh, good lord…didn't anyone aware Isner that Mauresmo isn't into guys. FFS…she's his coach. And, like Lendl, she's one who suffered a long time before she got her major titles. If that made sense with Lendl, why not Mauresmo, as an influence?

Any updates about Brian Baker? Out since the 2014 AO with a knee injury. Almost 7 months recovery time since then.

^I don't know, but did you see my post of a couple of weeks ago that Soderling is coming back? He's training for it, anyway.

^ Yeah, I do regular check ups on him. Thing is he's been trying for ages now but can play 10 mins on, 10 mins off still at best. I still hold out hope though especially seeing how good Stepanek is still at 35. He almost took Djokovic to a 5th set!

Btw, not long till Viktor Troicki's ban ends. He's allowed to play again from July 15th.
