Have you ever watched it again? I rewatched every season a few months ago, and found the Red Wedding was still impactful.

I've rewatched the first 4 seasons a bunch of times. I should've rewatched 7, it was already a long time ago.

Bronn's scene was uhhh entertaining for multiple reasons.

Now as much as I love the character I kind of feel like he should've been written off the show after last season. It makes sense he isn't traveling North with Jaime, and following the battle with the dothraki and dragons it makes sense he isn't sticking around for a war in King's Landing. Bronn loves money but he also is no fool when it comes to self preservation.

So it made sense to just not really have him in the last season. But as we saw he is probably going to feature big at some point. As much as he loves coin and as much as he jokes around it is clear he likes the Lannister brothers and I am pretty sure he isn't going to even try to take them out. My guess is if anything he may use that bow to save one of them.
Bronn could just as easily turn on Cersei in the end mate. Remember it's never as straightforward as it seems. And the two Lannister men have been his patrons. He's not stupid, Cersei is quite capable of killing him once he does the deed. And frankly we don't even know if she sanctioned this..

Interesting, I don't doubt she sanctioned it given Jaime "betrayed" her. Also if her brothers are dead then the prophecy is wrong and she of course hopes it to be wrong.

But yeah you are agreeing that it is very unlikely Bronn would take out Jaime or Tyrion even for a lot of coin.

Bronn is smart enough to know that there's no use having all that coin if you aren't alive to spend it. Cersei is just the type to kill her brothers but punish the person she paid to kill her twin

Exactly — always assassinate the assassin(s).

I didn't care for last night's episode too much but will refrain from talking more about it for another day or two.

I liked it but the problem is that there are only six episodes, so I guess we're expecting an epic each time out.

I've been checking out some Youtube vids from some of the GoT mega-nerds out there and a couple think that the Night King might throw a spanner in the works and appear at Kings Landing while his army attacks Winterfell. I guess we are in for a few twists in the tale so it wouldn't surprise me.

One piece of unfinished business surrounds Arya and Jaqen H'ghar. One of the early trailers had Arya running in fear and there has been much talk of the many faces of death... Is Jaqen H'ghar hiding behind the face of one of our other characters?

Nah I knew the big battle was the 3rd episode so it stood to reason this would be similar to the first one. This one did have its moments but a lot of it I found to be pointless filler and maybe a bit too much of fan service (Sansa and Theon and even Arya to a degree though that at least made a bit more sense to show more of a human side to her).
I was left feeling like they could have combined episodes 1 and 2 in less than 1.5 hours and then have more time for the big battles to come.

I'm afraid your theory is right about the Night King. They didn't show him at the end of the episode last night! I hope we are wrong as I'd like to see the Night King and Co dealt with here and then the remainder being King's Landing, but that may not play out that way.

The highlight of the episode to me was Jaime and Brienne. Which of course means 1 or both die next week :lol6:

I don't think Jaime will die in battle - there is too much of the story to tie up with Bronn and Cersei. I guess that leaves Brienne... highly probable thinking on from your comments. Maybe in Tormund's arms...

Also while I'm not sure Jaqen will feature anymore I have a feeling Melisandre is going to have a big role in some way. She's been hiding out somewhere but I'd imagine she joins the effort somehow.

I am biased as Jaime is my favorite character but if there is a war in King's Landing it is a bit more juicy if he is there for it. But given what Bran said to him...maybe he falls next week, maybe saving Brienne?

I think Jaime survives as well. There will be a reckoning between the Lannister’s before this is done.

I think that episode was essential in order to give the battle the necessary grandeur

One theory that may play out is that the dead Starks will arise from the crypt. It stands to reason that if the Night King can raise those who were just killed he can probably do the same regardless of how long the Starks have been dead. And they do show Arya burning the crypts... But then again if the Night King isn't there can his generals raise the dead Starks?

I rewatched episode 2 last night and I did enjoy it quite a bit more. Still think there was a decent amount of filler and that the first two episodes could have been combined into one that was 1.5 hours long.

And I am absolutely convinced the Night King is heading to King's Landing. It is a good twist but I almost wish they hadn't made it more obvious with them only showing a White Walker at the end of the episode. I also was kind of hoping the King's Landing War would be the final and that the zombie apocalypse would be snuffed out first :)

I'll give it 24 hours before I write some more :)
